View and BookGreenacres Marshwood CL is located on the border of the three counties of Devon, Dorset and Somerset, in the Marshwood Vale near to the picturesque Jurassic Coastline of Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Abbotsbury.
It is a 5-van 'Members Only' recreation site offering stays up to 28 days. Sited in a beautiful and secluded rural location, with views that have to be seen to be believed, it is available for adults only.
We ask that Green Fluid only be used in CCEP.
We have transformed our shed which is available for book swapping, walking routes and local information. We offer 5 serviced pitches with water, grey waste and ehu, of which 2 pitches have lawned sites with hard stands.
We also have on our land a self catering railway wagon.
Our site offers peace and quiet and the opportunity to enjoy an outdoors experience surrounded by wildlife and farm stock. We do welcome well-behaved dogs, but would ask that they are on a lead at all times and are kept within the areas designated to ensure that our wildlife is not unduly disturbed. Our visitors often remain on site, favouring the ultimate country experience. Our chickens free range within the Greenacres garden and sheep graze in our surrounding paddocks. Home produce of hen eggs can be purchased when available.
Greenacres is a smallholding surrounded by rolling hills and fields full of wildlife and flowers. We also have a pond where you can do a spot of fishing. please ask if this interests you, when booking.
Pilsden Pen can be viewed from the site - the second highest point in Dorset and is a short drive to experience the breath-taking views across the Vale. The Golden Cap is the highest point on the South Coast of England and can be reached in less than twenty minutes. A few miles further is the delightful Dorset town of Bridport. Lyme Regis is also a popular place to visit with facilities and entertainment they offer. Plus the village of Charmouth, renowned for its fossil hunting, is only 8 miles away.
The deer regularly visit the lower meadows as the sun sets and a variety of birds of prey and owls can be seen and heard throughout the evening. During the day you may be lucky to spot a variety of wild species, from rabbits to foxes and beyond. Star-gazing can be enjoyed here too, as the farm is set back 200 metres from the road, with no light pollution to spoil the spectacle. Total peace and quiet.....
On entering Greenacres you will find sufficient space to clear the road and open the locked gateway before proceeding to the grass pitches along a hard all-weather track. There is additional parking at the entrance for extra vehicles.
