Kingsbridge is a small place, but a highly attractive one that makes a superb base to explore south Devon. The South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is just a few miles away, featuring some spectacular coastal scenery such as Soar Mill Cove. This is also a great place for walking, surfing and simply enjoying the beach.
Indoor attractions in the town itself include the Cookworthy Museum. Located in the town's former grammar school, it tells the history of Kingsbridge. A highlight is a collection of photographs depicting local life from the 1870s to the present day.
Plymouth is also within easy travelling distance, as is the Dartmoor National Park.
