A long walk to empty the waste tank .....

Little Speccott Lodge
We had this little site to ourselves when we visited at the beginning of August, wonderful views but the owners live 3 miles away and at night we felt a bit isolated! The property next door is empty but being renovated so I don't know how peaceful it would be during the daytime - we only stayed one night! The main problem is that the chemical emptying site is across a sheep field and quiet a long walk if you have to carry a full waste tank! There was no access to water to rinse it either - a water barrel in the camping field was empty and the only other tap was the drinking water tap! Luckily we had an empty wine bottle from the night before which we used to carry the water so as not to contaminate the drinking water - not ideal I know.
