National Archery - Barnstaple, Devon
Master the ancient art of archery as you hone your Robin Hood-like skills on spectacular shooting ranges.
View and BookOur CL caravan site lies in the heart of Devonian countryside between Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, five miles from the Atlantic coast and away from the tourists yet close enough to beaches and surf (Westward Ho, Saunton Sands, Instow and Croyde ) as well as miles of free National Trust coastline (great walking and stunning views!)
Close by, the pretty market town of Great Torrington still has a family butcher, grocers and bakers (oh the aroma of fresh baked buns!) as well as pubs and cafes and its own small market. There is also the lively Plough Arts Centre with live music, theatre and film and it's own restaurant.
Popular nearby attractions include the magnificent R.H.S. Rosemoor Gardens, Dartington Crystal Glass Factory, the Barnstaple and Bideford Pannier market ( food and antiques), Torrington 1646 (civil war re-enactments) and for the more active the Tarka Trail cycle route (30 miles of scenic cycle path), North Devon Surf School, kite surfing, sailing, golf (9 beautiful courses), PGL and Skern Lodge outdoor adventure centres, quad biking, paintball survival, fishing (freshwater and sea), climbing wall, the Milkway indoor children's adventure centre, The Big Sheep farm experience for kids and grownups!
There is plenty of outdoor and indoor entertainment to suit all age groups and all weather and a lot of it is free!

The peace and quiet is perfect for sleep, just the mewing of buzzards and munching of sheep. North West there is Lundy; a beautiful view and morning delight for seas so blue. Ann and her site so perfect does keep.

An extremely peaceful site with nice views. Very pleasant, helpful owner. The grass was kept well cut & access is easy. Nice to have 'good electricity'. The only downside was it was not walkable to a pub but that is minor. Would return if in the area again. Thank you.
