Why stay here ...

Huntisbeare CL is situated in the beautiful East Devon countryside, just a stone's throw outside the AONB with dog walks aplenty. If you are looking for a relaxing, tranquil and private place to stay with mesmerising sunsets each and every night, Huntisbeare is the site to be.

The popular seaside towns of Sidmouth, Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton would all be at your driving fingertips, alongside natural escapes such as Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, Escot and the quaint historic town of Topsham which sits on the River Exe estuary—with fishing at the nearby Darts Farm! Fruitful with local restaurants and pubs alike, you will never go hungry around here.

Ready and raring with your National Trust memberships? A la Ronde in Exmouth, Killterton near Exeter, Castle Drogo in Drewsteignton and Knightshayes near Tiverton await you. And although not a National Trust place, Powderham Castle, near Exeter, is also a beautiful riverside escape to visit with regular events held in its grounds.

Fancy visiting the hustle and bustle of a city? Exeter boasts a rich history dating back all the way to the Roman era; ranging from shops, museums, cinemas, a unique gothic cathedral to wonderful activities such as exploring the Underground Passages, water sports and cycling along the delightful Exeter Quay—and even a rock-climbing centre if you’re brave enough!

Our facilities include basic ladies and gents lavatories, 5 hard standings or 4 + 1 grass pitch each with EHU and water. We are an adult only site. Dogs are welcomed. We don't charge for awnings but do charge £2 a day for an extra adult over the basic two.

We hope you come stay with us soon!

Suited Our Needs Perfectly

Huntisbeare
Very straightforward to book. Easy access from the main road but still felt incredibly peaceful and tucked away. Friendly welcome from the owner who took time to chat and explain where everything was. Level hard standing pitches all with water and EHU, Large field by the farmhouse is available for dog walking. Recycling on site together with two toilets - didn't use them but looked very clean. Walked out from the site on a couple of days towards the village of West Hill where there is access to woodland walks and many tracks. Good location for visiting the coast. Would definitely use again if in the area - current charge for two adults is £19 per night including EHU. Thanks for a great stay.

Brilliant peaceful site

Huntisbeare
We found this site to be all we expected and hoped for. Mark and Linda are friendly and helpful without in any way being intrusive We found it easy to reach all the sights we wanted to visit and have found more we want to come back and explore around East Devon. No doubt the good weather we enjoyed helped but that was the icing on the cake as our main requirements were peace and quiet. Several good pubs with good meals within 5 miles and Ottery St Mary has good takeaway outlets. Sitting in the sun watching it go down with a glass of red wine and you find your troubles melting away. We will be back. Brian & Hilary. Sept 2021.

Wonderful & Peaceful

Huntisbeare
What a find for our first time out in our motorhome. Mark & Linda are very welcoming & friendly, Toilets where basic but very clean as was the recycle & bin area, also a place to exercise our dogs, a short walk down the road for fresh hen & duck eggs. we will defiantly be returning.
