Situated in the English county of Devon and known locally as 'Cully', Cullompton has the peaceful Culm Valley as its backdrop and is the perfect place to get away from it all on a long weekend.
It is peppered with footpaths, bridle paths and cycle trails, so it's ideal if you want to enjoy plenty of fresh air and explore amid the bountiful wildlife.
There is also lots of history and heritage to see in this part of the world, so take the opportunity to check out the beautiful church, almshouses, old Bull Ring and Waldrons Manor House on the heritage walking trail, or see old industrial traditions of the Culm Valley Cloth Trail.
When you want a bite to eat, you'll be able to choose from a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes in the vicinity, all of which will offer a warm welcome and tasty food and drink.
Don't miss the farmers' market on the second Saturday of the month, or Bickleigh Castle and Killerton House within a short drive away from the centre of Cullompton.
