Chulmleigh Certificated Locations

Chulmleigh is a charming small town located in North Devon. It remains relatively unspoilt by development and visitors will still be able to see cob and thatched buildings along the quaint little streets.

There is also the 14^th century Church of St Mary Magdalene with its carved roof and rood screen, which is a particularly grand building for a town of this size.

Once you have enjoyed refreshments at one of the welcoming inns, there is a host of footpaths to hike along, including part of the Tarka Trail and that through Heywood Wood that will take you past the Norman ruins of a motte and bailey castle.

For family days out, there are several historic houses and theme parks within easy reach. It's also worth timing your visit for one of the many annual local events, with Chulmleigh Fair each July a particular highlight.
