Why stay here ...
East Dunley is a quiet smallholding set in rolling hills next to Dartmoor. All our guests are made to feel as welcome as possible and are free to enjoy the range of wildlife in the area that includes owls, woodpeckers and grazing horses. Dogs are welcome so long as they are kept on a lead. The site has good road access with no narrow lanes.
The site is a slightly sloping large field, approaching 1 acre with stunning views towards Dartmoor and a wood behind for shelter. All our part hardstanding, part grass pitches are fitted with electric hook ups and have plenty of space for awnings and privacy. WC/shower facilities are available. We also have laundry facilities.
We are conveniently placed for exploring nearby Haytor, the Templer Way and the many walks, woodlands, villages and other attractions in Dartmoor National Park. We are also within easy reach of the coast, golf courses and the many other attractions that are available in other local areas.
Bovey Tracey is 2 miles away and is known as the 'Gateway to the Moor'. It is a small market town with supermarkets, local shops, and a choice of restaurants and public houses to meet your needs. There are regular farmers markets occurring throughout the year and the town is home to the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.

A short drive from the A30 and easy access to Dartmoor and beyond

Peaceful stop over with excellent facilities

Well placed with good facilities; but not worth the premium price
We enjoyed our stay at this CL; the toilets (one gents', two ladies') were good, although we weren't sure how often they were cleaned. The shower was very useful, warm and spacious. The utility room could have done with more local information and maps, and again we weren't... Show more

Rural touring base

Little Gem
Just visited East Dunley CL for a 2 night stay in our motorhome for the first time and it definitely won't be our last visit. Excellent facilities including laundry washer and dryer, spotless toilets and shower block. A dog walking area behind the designated tourer area. So quiet and peaceful the only noise... Show more

Disappointed
Site is not as advertised in that there are no "stunning views over Dartmoor" and it wasn't peaceful. There were perhaps views a long time ago but the line of well established trees stops that. As for "peaceful", well, I don't count being woken by large mechanical diggers before 8am... Show more

Top Class CL
Lovely peaceful cl with many birdsongs from the woods. Fascilities first class if you need them. Spaciously set out with hard standing and grass for each pitch. All kept mowed and tidy. Dartmoor on your doorstep. Dom informative and helpful. Would highly recommend it.
