Nice site but won't be returning
We have been to red house stables twice, it is a nice well presented CL midway between Matlock & Bakewell. The peak railway runs at the back of the site, we last went on bank holiday & the owners are obviously out to make as much money as possible as... Show more

Red House Stables
As previously stated lovely level well kept grass field & the odd steam train passing. Apart from that & despite the nearby busy A6 very quiet. But to note for the less able among us. The toilet is situated adjacent to the stable museum reception which is approx. 150-200yds away from... Show more

Perfect C.L. for Derbyshire
Visited this quiet CL September 2014 for the first time. Easy to find and nice welcome. Quiet level site with the added bonus of having a steam train go by a few times a day several days a week. Ideal for visiting all the sites of Peak District. Would definitely... Show more

Perfect for the Peaks
