Situated in the centre of the Peak District National Park making all major attractions within easy reach:- Chatsworth House,Haddon Hall, Bakewell (famous for its puddings), Buxton (famous for its Spring water), the plague village of Eyam, the Hope Valley and Castleton (famous for its caverns) are all within 15 - 20 minute drive.
It is a great location fro walking and cycling with the footpath network adjacent to the site linked to the limestone way and an area of outstanding natural beauty (SSSI), a scheduled ancient monument with unique flora in the spring with orchids and rare plant life.
The Monsal Trail, Derwent Dam Trails are close by and the Tissington Trail and Dovedale are within easy reach.
The village of Tideswell, 1.5 miles away has convenience stores, butcher, bakery, post office, news agent, fish and chip shop and excellent public houses serving food along with the Cathedral of the Peak, St. John the Baptist Church.
