A popular spot for visitors since the 14th century, Buxton is a spa town in Derbyshire, and one of the most popular tourist destinations within England's Peak District.
For those who love history and architecture, Buxton has plenty to offer. There's the Crescent, which was built in 1780, the 16th-century Old Hotel and plenty buildings from the Georgian and Victorian periods.
The Pavilion Gardens is a historic venue in the heart of the town. It's surrounded by 23 acres of gardens, and provides a tourist information centre, as well as a coffee bar, the Pavilion cafe (which includes a children's area) and a mezzanine Art Cafe.
