Why stay here ...

Lakeside Meadow is a beautiful grassed 5 acre site, with its own lake (no fishing). It is approached from the road by a gated access onto a private drive. The driveway extends behind each pitch (with the exception of pitch 1) allowing you to drive straight onto your allocated pitch. Each pitch is hardstanding and has its own EHU and water supply along with a grey waste disposal point. There is a chemical waste disposal, bin area and toilet for exclusive use by CL guests only.

We have our main lake along with 3 smaller ponds, bridges and views out over the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Dogs are welcome. We do ask that they are kept on a lead at all times whilst on site and please clean up after them.

The Saracens Head Pub, in the neighbouring village of Shirley is a short drive away.

Facilities on site ...

  • Dog walk from site
  • Recycling facilities
  • TV reception: fair
  • Unfenced water
  • WC (exclusive use)

Very peaceful

The site is well maintained and the pitches are well spaced out. Fully serviced pitches with 16amp hook up and adequate space to park your car and erect an awning. Well positioned for visiting various National Trust properties. An excellent pub a mile down the road, The Red Lion, serving... Show more

The Best 5 van site so far

We were looking for somewhere that we could easily reach in under an hour for extended weekends. Found Lakeside by a happy accident, but what a gem of a find. Tranquil, stunning outlook from all 5 well maintained hard standing serviced pitches. A lovely view of the lake and loads... Show more

Lovely

Just had 4 nights on this lovely CL. Well spaced pitches, quiet and a view of the lake from every pitch. Lots of wildlife in and around the lake, rabbits, Geese, ducks and Carp in the lake which you can feed from a food bucket on the lakeside! Easy access... Show more

One of the most beautiful CLs yet....

5 lovely hard standing pitches each with beautiful views out onto the lake and grass. Each pitch has its own picnic table as well as fresh water, soak away and electric if you need it... despite the British summer not being great, it still gave enough sunshine to charge... Show more

Perfection!

Stayed for 5 nights in early September and immediately booked for 10 days for next year. Without doubt, the best CL we have stayed at. The 5 pitches are all hardstanding made from compressed limestone scalpings and level with a grid area for the awning. 16A mains and fresh water... Show more

What a gorgeous site, but..............

We were stopping over the road at the owners other site, Heritage Wood, and decided to take look at this site and were so impressed that we immediately asked if we could move to it. The entire site is in superb condition, with level, hard standing pitches, immaculate closely mown and... Show more
