Hartlepool Certificated Locations

Situated in County Durham, Hartlepool is a town on the North Sea Coast that made its name as a major port and is still an important maritime hub today.

The former docks have been developed into a marina and an array of restaurants are clustered around it, making it the perfect backdrop for an evening meal or breakfast.

Hartlepool's maritime history is apparent in the activities on offer, with the Historic Quay displaying a reproduction of an 18th century seaport and frigate, and HMS Trincomalee available for viewing at the Maritime Experience.

Don't miss Camerons Brewery either, as well as the Heugh Battery, which features the only British gun battery to have fired its guns in anger during the First World War.

For walkers, there's also RSPB Saltholme nearby and its wide range of wildlife, from waterfowl to orchids.
