Great views- Great welcome.

Grove Farm
We arrived during the wettest part of the year and were disappointed to have not stayed on the main field due to the heavy rain. Nevertheless we had a great stay on a strip of land next to the charming donkeys , Petunia and Marigold. Tom and Mark made us very welcome and we enjoyed chatting about what to do in the area with them throughout our stay. The views are beautiful the site peaceful and the toilet and shower are spotless . There is plenty to see in the area. We really enjoyed Beamish over 2 full days, Ushaw House and Chapels, Seaham and Durham. We hope to visit again in the future . Thank you Tom and Mark for making us feel very welcome .

Home from home

Grove Farm
I recently stayed at this lovely little site. There were two beautiful donkeys as well as lovely owners to greet me. The site is quiet and peaceful, and the hosts made me feel very welcome. The toilet and shower were clean and also nice and warm too. I'd thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Still the place to be.....................

Grove Farm
Having now spent a total of 81 days at Grove Farm we feel qualified to say that everything contained in our first review listed 04/07/2022 not only still stands but can safely be said to remain not only utterly consistent but, in some cases, improved. ‘The Girls’ are even more settled now they’ve been there for three years, the number of ‘regulars’ appears to be rising and the peace seems to be even more peaceful. A quite wonderful CL to spend time on. Of course the weather, being British, is its usual unpredictable self; from stunning sunshine with clear blue skies through to torrential rain and chilling winds. But, if one chooses to holiday in our beautiful British Isles, what more may we expect? Are the views from Grove Farm not beautiful? The welcome from Tom and Mark, even for one-nighters, is still unmatched as is their exceptional helpfulness. No, there are no electric hook-ups. No, generators are not allowed; not even the so-called 'silent' ones (they upset ‘The Girls’). All these things just add to the feeling of peacefulness away from the frenetic hustle and bustle of the unwelcoming outside world. Once again, “Thanks so much” to Tom and Mark for a CL that’s a real haven of tranquillity.
