Great CL

Zig-lag Farm
We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept 2023. Great communication from Fern and a warm welcome when she popped down to the site. Huge level field. Nice views and well located. We took a car to be able to cope with the narrow country lanes, no problem accessing the site in the Moho though. No light pollution so amazing stars on a clear night. Would use this location again.

Almost the perfect CL

Zig-lag Farm
Huge level field with mown grass and splendid views. Generous spacing of hook- ups allows for a large pitch and even with the car and an awning on either side of the van there is plenty of distance between neighbours. A pleasant stroll to the village offers a shop and a pub which is dog friendly and serves meals. A short drive into Wadebridge and the site is well place for Bodmin, the moor and all the North Cornwall resorts. The site is 3/4 mile down a decent lane so no traffic noise. This then should be the perfect CL except that the approach, down 200 yd track, is dreadful. It is very badly rutted with potholes and in places a real danger of grounding a van. It would be a challenge for a rugged 4x4 but in my saloon I feared for the suspension and steering. My stay was during along dry spell and the track was rock hard which contributed to the bone- shaking experience. Every trip started and finished with gritted teeth as I negotiated the track. Such a shame as I would otherwise be offering a glowing review.

Peaceful and Relaxing

Zig-lag Farm
We stayed at this site for 10 nights in July. Wide entrance and 200 yard track down to very large level field, plenty of room between pitches and nice views. This site is in a good location, close to the A39, with no road noise. It is within walking distance of a pub and a farm shop, just over 2 miles to Wadebridge and supermarkets. Ideally located for visiting, Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Bodmin Moor. If in the area again I would definitely use this site.

Peaceful splendour

Zig-lag Farm
Mrs Thomas met at at the site was was extremely helpful. The site itself is a flat, large, grassed field with well spaced pitches approached by a long farm style driveway. The site entrance is gated. Clean, tidy facilities with sanitiser provided by the recycling area. Lovely views over open fields to the distant hill over which is the North Cornwall coast. We spent 9 days there and just loved it. A pub, shop and petrol station all within a walking/cycling distance where most essentials can be purchased. Beaches quite close and several other pubs within a short drive. Peaceful site set well back from the A39. Camel cycle trail (Bodmin to Wadebridge to Padstow) can be picked up from Wadebridge where the major supermarkets and facilities can be found. Top marks from us, just excellent. We hope to return one day. DO NOT rely on Satnav use clear instructions as provided.

A nice CL with lovely views - will definitely be back

Zig-lag Farm
We have now stayed on this CL twice, once at the same time of year as the previous review and more recently for a week in July 2018. We thoroughly enjoyed our stays on both occasions and don't really feel the other review adequately represents this CL. The site has lovely views onto hills in the distance and we enjoyed some spectacular sunsets this summer. It is well placed for Wadebridge and the Camel trail and also Padstow and Port Isaac and there are a couple of very nice pubs nearby and also a chippy and convenience store. The previous review mentioned a noisy workshop adjacent to the site and we can confirm that this is NOT now the case and the barn now houses a heritage fire engine which is owned by one of the farm hands. Whilst the owner doesn't live on the site, they are close by and come in every evening to make sure everything is ok. We would definitely stay again:)
