Why stay here ...

We have been running Specky Wood C.L for many years and thoroughly enjoy welcoming back regular visitors (some of whom have been coming back year after year) as well as introducing new club members to this unspoilt part of Cornwall. Our 1.5 acre site is flat, has easy access and the grass is kept short. It is a well maintained, secluded, spacious site set in the quiet hamlet of Trevothan about 1 mile from Coverack.

Coverack is a beautiful Cornish fishing village with an unrushed, relaxing quality about it. There is a picturesque harbour, thatched cottages and many other attractions including a sandy beach (at low tide), rock pools to explore, windsurfing school, a popular pub, general village store, restaurants, cafes as well as speciality shops and a gallery. The village Website is certainly worth looking at, with information on what’s on and more details about the above attractions.

We are in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and are conveniently positioned for the S.W coastal path. There are many attractions locally, which can be linked to if you visit our Website.

We aim to make all our visitors feel welcome and our site has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Children and animals are allowed but we ask that dogs are kept on leads whilst on the site and dog owners are responsible.

The site is  part hardstanding

Toilets and showers on site need to be booked in advance of use, please speak to owners when booking.

A great site.

Really nice quiet site with friendly and helpful owners. Hard standing and grass pitches. The grass pitches especially of good size with a couple of clean toilet/shower cubicles if you want them, the whole site being maintained to a high standard. The village has good facilities with a pub, small friendly hotel, provision... Show more

A true gem of a site!

Booked for 4 nights but ended up staying for 6! The site is clean and well kept, the pitches are massive, and the owners are hands down the nicest, friendliest people you could ask for! It’s a 1 mile (steep hill) walk down to Coverack, which is a gorgeous fishing... Show more

Peaceful and welcoming

We stayed for three nights as part of our coastal tour of Cornwall. Site was very peaceful and spacious, good facilities - clean and well maintained. We loved the walk into Coverack, beautiful little harbour and beach, suite a steep climb back up but well worth it.

Campervan Visit April 2023

Easy access to site providing one follows the directions (compared to most Cornish sites!). Good communication on booking. Very friendly welcome with the owners obviously keeping careful watch on what is happening. Large, flat hardstanding pitch but options for grass in better weather by the looks of it.... Show more

Feels like coming home

We are regular visitors to Specky Wood, it's been our base near Coverack for many years. We've been twice this year and the 1st time after breaking down on A30 we didn't arrive till 10.30pm. Both of them were there to welcome us and to see if there was anything... Show more

An Absolute Gem of a CL

Everything about this CL is perfect. We had a warm friendly welcome and some really useful local information from the site owners.
