View and BookThe Annexe, Bagbury Byre, St Ann's Hill, Bude, Cornwall, EX23 0LT
View on mapBy the Byre caravan site is down a quiet country lane overlooking the River Neat and Bude Canal. This is a dog friendly site with superb walks and cycling right on your doorstep.
This tranquil site has 5 hardstanding pitches with half of each pitch being grass to put up an awning if you wish. Each pitch has electric hook ups. There is a CCEP along with recycling and waste facilities. Situated on the outskirts of Bude it provides wonderful access to the North Cornwall and North Devon Coasts, with plenty of beaches and some of the best cliff walks in England all close by, this is a wonderful retreat and one where man's best friend is welcome as well! (two medium sized and well behaved dogs!) The site itself is situated on a working farm so guests are asked kindly to keep their dogs on a lead.
The Bude canal and cycle way passes yards from the site and you can follow either of these to the centre of town. Bude has a huge variety of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops, which are a 15 minute walk away, but the beaches of the North Cornwall coast are the must see attraction.
It doesn't take long to discover that Bude is possibly more diverse than any other holiday destination in Cornwall. Most major villages, towns and attractions are within an hour's drive; and because Bude sits on the county border, visitors are free to explore the delights of both Devon and Cornwall at their leisure. Look past the eight main beaches and many smaller hidden coves and you soon see there really is something for everyone.
As it is a pleasant walk to the town centre of Bude, the huge sandy beach is a favourite with children and adults alike, there is an outdoor sea pool, pretty canal, golf course, splash pool and tennis courts, and you can enjoy all of this without the need of a car! Bude is Cornwall's most northern town and has been a favourite seaside resort since Victorian times. The coastal scenery surrounding the beaches is quite beautiful, boasting some of the finest sandy beaches and the best surfing in England! The town has excellent facilities and a wide selection of interesting, independent shops. This idyllic area has a large amount of bird life for the dedicated twitcher and some wonderful, scenic walks along the South West coastal path.
The centre of Bude is a lively hub with concerts, dances and fetes as well as other events throughout the season. The town has a host of pubs, cafes and restaurants to suit every palate and there is a new Visitors Centre in the Crescent car park, a large children's play area, a 19th century canal and a small wharf amongst many other attractions.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here for a couple of nights. Excellent location in the peaceful countryside but with easy access to Bude on foot or bike and to interesting places in North Cornwall and Devon. Clean, tidy and quiet.

Lovely basic site (No Toilet facilities) but with EHU Freshwater & CDP. access to footpath & cycle path directly opposite site. 15-20 min walk along tarmac either canal or riverside path to Bude, or opposite direction to the Dog friendly Weir cafe/restaurant serving great breakfast which we enjoyed. We spent 6 nights here in September. Interestingly, the whole time we were the only caravan. All the other pitches were motorhomers. The site has easy access to the multi-use path to Bude via the nature reserve and canal. We found the site to be neat and tidy, the grass... Show more

Fantastic peaceful spot, close to Bude Canal and only a 15 minute, level walk into town. There are good pubs, cafés, restaurants etc in the town and along the canal. We picked up the iwalkcornwall app circular walk Widemouth Bay to Bude. If you like walking, this is a great... Show more
