Why stay here ...

Trevose Meadow is a quiet rural one acre site just outside the village of Grimscott, close to the border between Devon and Cornwall and 5 miles from the popular seaside town of Bude with its beautiful coastline and sandy beaches. It  is situated on the B3254 being one mile from Red Post and four miles from A39 at Kilkhampton and is easy to find.

We have 5 hardstandings with electric hookups, 2 water taps and  chemical toilet emptying facility. There is a fenced field set aside for off lead dog exercise where Molly Mongrel will welcome some company, and a playpark opposite the site for small children and ball games.

Bude offers many activities for the young and no longer so young.

It boasts a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym, Ten pin bowling, bowls, tennis, golf and puttin, also an indoor soft play facility for the little ones.

There are four supermarkets in the town and two sandy beaches offering rockpools and surfing. There is access to the south west coast path leading south to Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac and north to Morwenstow and Clovelly.

Lundy is easily accessible from here being twenty miles to Bideford to catch MS Oldenburgh for a day trip.

Also nearby are RHS Rosemoor, the Eden Project, Padstow and Bodmin steam railway and local National trust properties are  within reach

At Bude there is a canal offering canoeing, rowing and cycling and also coarse fishing with a peaceful two mile walk to the Weir cafe where segways can be hired

There is also fishing, walking, cycling, boating and geocaching available at Tamar Lake just 4 miles from Trevose Meadow

There is a cinema at Poundstock, about seven miles distant offering the latest films and if retail therapy is needed Plymouth, Barnstaple or Exeter are all possible by bus or a short drive.

Potential to be a super site, but in need of some serious TLC

Trevose Meadow is a CL with real potential to be a super CL, but it is need of serious TLC. We stayed for a long weekend at the end of August 2024 when we had a brilliant time bodyboarding at Widemouth Bay. The location is perfect for this part of... Show more

A super CL.

A well placed site with easy access, which is very convenient for visiting Clovelly, Hartland Abbey and the surrounding area. The site is well drained, hard standing with plenty of room between the pitches. The EHU works well and there is a fresh water tap with good pressure. The chemical... Show more

A super CL

We really liked everything about this site. The access was really easy and the road was fairly quiet and the light traffic noise didn’t bother us at all. The hard standing pitches, which were really level, had plenty of grass on either side and it was well kept. The recycling/bin... Show more

Satisfactory CL

Easy access to get here and in the site. Didn’t see the owners but that’s ok we didn’t need to. Not a pretty CL. The road is noisy. Although there is a dog field on site, it’s not good for walking from the site you need to use the car. Bude... Show more

Highly recommended

We've just finished a 26 night stay and couldn't have been happier with this site. Sue, the owner, went to great lengths to help us out at very short notice even though it was a very busy time of the year. The pitches are huge with plenty of room for... Show more

What a little gems in the Cornish countryside

This is what all CL sites should be like and a credit to the owner. We were made extremely welcome and nothing was too much trouble, THANK YOU SUE. The hardstanding pitches are serviced with electric, fresh water is close by the pitches and the chemical disposal is on the... Show more

cornwall stay

Having just spent ten days here, I can only say that I did not find that I had had a restful holiday. Sitting here at home we are lucky to live in such a nice place with no traffic noise, the first vehicles would race through at 4.45 each morning,... Show more

Safe for young children

We wanted a CL with a gate to contain a special grandson. This site was great! We wanted a way to keep young children happy while onsite. There was a public playground just opposite across the road. Excellent! We went every day and were often the only people there. There was good... Show more

Ticked All Our Boxes

We chose this site to use as a base whilst walking the South West Coastal Path. Easy access from the road into the site where the pitches are level and well spaced out. The hard standings are long and narrow so any awnings would be on the grass. Adjacent meadow... Show more
