Why stay here ...

One mile easy access from A30 to a beautiful level peaceful lawned Cornish meadow, which also offers hard standing, excellent drainage and panoramic views to miles of St Austell's historic landscape.

There's lots to see and do to keep the whole family entertained when staying with us. Nearby Bodmin with it's notorious 18th century jail, the impressive National Trust Lanhydrock House and Gardens, Pencarrow House and Gardens, and The Bodmin and Wenford Steam Railway. Explore the world renowned Eden Project, experience different continents, worlds and their habitat. Maybe attend The Eden Sessions (booking required), only 4.5miles from us.

Enjoy Cornwall's world class beaches and quaint ports, some less than 10 miles away. Within a 30 minute drive (or less) you can reach Charlestown (a major filming location for many films and TV Inc. The Eagle has Landed and Poldark), Fowey, Mevagissey, Lostwithiel with its nearby Restormel Castle, The Bedruthan Steps, the hidden wonders of St Cuthberts Cave and Fairy Pools at Holywell Bay, Port Issac (used for Port Wenn in TV series Doc Martin) a must see and do. The Lost Gardens of Heligan and the timeless magic of Caerhays Castle in the spring.

Climb to the top of Roughtor or Brown Willy on Bodmin Moor for the most amazing views.

Take a local walk to the village and climb Historic Roche Rock.

NB. Roche has an excellent butcher, greengrocer, chemist and Co-op.

Cycle Hire is widely available with several trails well worth walking or cycling along including Bodmin to Padstow, part of The Camel Trail and The China Clay Trail.

If you prefer leave your vehicle at the railway station at Roche and catch a train on the branch line to Par or Newquay. Trains run quite frequently. Par is a mainline station.

Our site is perfectly situated for the exploration of both the North and South Cornish coasts and the Central region including Bodmin Moor.

We hope to see you soon.

Perfect CL site for travelling to Cornwall

Lovely and peaceful. Jane was very friendly from booking and checking on myself and my husband during our 2 night stop off. Everything you could need for off grid stay. Close enough to A30 but no traffic noise. A couple of hard standing pitches too with grass pitches as well.... Show more

PEACE AND QUIET

We spent 17 days here off grid with 100w solar panel and we had no problems. Not far from A 30 easy access. Friendly and helpful owner. Coop in village, veg shop and excellent butchers. Handy to visit a wide area. Will return if in area.
