Why stay here ...

Set on a working farm in the Cheshire countryside near the picturesque village of Church Minshull. Our site has stunning views over the Weaver Valley. The canal is just the other side of the hedge and is lovely for walks along.

Our site is a grass site and it has a slight slope. The water is in the corner of the site by the hedge. For empting your chemical waste please walk towards the farm, you will see a mobile home on the left hand side, just walk along side it to the empting point.

Close by is the beautiful town of Nantwich, the historic city of Chester is 40 minutes away as is Manchester. Oulton Park racing circuit is a 20 minute drive.  Chester Zoo is great for a family day out. Leighton Hospital is less than 10 minutes away.

The Badger Pub in Church Minshull serves excellent food. There are local walks around the area as well as Delamere Forest and the Sand stone Trail.

There are several large supermarkets within 5 miles. The nearest convenient shop is 3 miles away as you head into Crewe. The Village of Worleston has a lovely little shop and post office which bakes all its own pies and cakes. Also at the farm we are a B&B and also have a florist and gift shop.

From the village of Church Minshull, once you are on Cross Lane we are the turning before the canal bridge. Once on our drive which is ½ mile long in total, fork up to the right following the signs, the site is on the left hand side before you reach the farm.

We welcome children and pets but please remember that we are a working dairy farm and there are often tractors about so supervision is required at all times.

Peaceful few days.

We have just spend a very peaceful three nights overlooking this beautiful countryside. Having just exchanged our campervan we needed somewhere fairly local to our home to make sure all was well with the new unit. As it was October we needed somewhere with electric and opted for Higher Elms as... Show more

Very good farm CL, great location

We stopped here over the Easter weekend and the weather was hot and sunny. Its easy to find and right next to the canal. There are great views over the Cheshire country side facing west so we had full sun right until sunset. The local pub is only 15 minutes walk... Show more

Absolutely lovely

We stayed here to allow us to visit someone in Leighton Hospital, which is really close by. Access is good and the road well maintained. When we arrived, there was nobody around to welcome us, but we were told that we could pitch anywhere in the camping field. We were the only... Show more

Lovely quiet site

We stayed for 3 nights over the bank holiday weekend. Friendly but unobtrusive owners, easy access and stunning countryside views. The site is also very quiet, no road noise at all and only the occasional canal boat passing or farm vehicle which is only to be expected on a working... Show more

Pros: easy access, plenty of space, pleasant view, handy for canal Cons: access to chemical emptying point

Access was easy off the minor Cross Lane into farm drive which is good quality tarmac all the way to the CL. The junction is wide so plenty of space to turn in. When approaching from the east the junction is very soon after the canal bridge. Cross Lane is... Show more

Not a great experience

We had booked the site for 3 nights but left after 2. The grass had not been cut in fact it looked like the grass had not been cut for a while. The water tap was accessible but there was no clue as to where the toilet disposal point was... Show more
