A nice little site

A friendly welcome from Lawrence and Annette. A nice little site situated alongside a main road with some road noise but not intrusive. Separate, small WC, very clean. We were allocated Pitch 5 it was a strange set up, in what I would describe as a drop down ditch meaning... Show more

Overnight stay

Stayed one night en route to Scotland. Warm welcome by Lawrence and full explanation of facilities. We were allocated Pitch 1 due to ease of access and egress however we didn’t appreciate how much road noise there would be, continuing even through the night. We left earlier than planned as we hadn’t... Show more

Laurence is a great host and we received a warm welcome and lots of info on nearby places to eat and things to do. Felt quite spoilt with the fully serviced pitch & wifi, plus the onsite flushing toilet. Lovely surroundings with chairs and benches to use and pots of... Show more

Disappointing and overbooked

We were contacted a day or so before arrival to say that ‘someone had turned up early and they didn’t want to turn them away’. We were asked if it was ok to put us on an access driveway, but we would have ehu & water. Apparently we would have... Show more

Just a little lacking

Our hosts were on hand to meet us on arrival and helpfully saw us onto our pitch. The information pack given out was plentiful and site rules very clear. A lot of thought had been given to the design of the level pitch and there were many very nice... Show more

A bit disappointed

We stayed here overnight en route to France. Laurence and his wife were very welcoming and had lots of information available to us. Laurence recommended a fabulous fish and chip shop, Top of the Hill Chippy. We normally use the other one. The site was pretty but, unfortunately, the ground... Show more
