Holmes Chapel Certificated Locations

Holmes Chapel is a village in Cheshire that overlooks the Dane Valley and was formerly known as Church Hulme, until it changed its name in 1974.

Because of its situation amid beautiful countryside, Holmes Chapel is extremely popular with walkers and cyclists and scores of trails pass through or nearby.

You can get away from it all in the Swettenham Meadows Nature Reserve, or the Brereton Heath Local Nature Reserve for the Brimstone Trail through the woods and next to the lake.

Within the village, there are a number of shops and places to eat, particularly pubs that will offer a warm welcome to visitors.

Other highlights include the Lovell Quinta Arboretum and local handicrafts at The Blackden Trust.

However, an absolute must-see is the Jodrell Bank Science Centre and its Lovell Radio Telescope, where you can learn more about space and contemplate your place in our enormous galaxy.
