Why stay here ...

Why not visit us at Priors Field Farm where you can enjoy lovely local walks, cycle rides, an RSPB reserve on the doorstep and several pubs within easy walk or cycle ride.  The River Great Ouse and the Ouse Valley way are literally across the road enabling you to get into St Ives on foot.  If you would rather go on two wheels, the cycleway outside allows you to have a very safe flat journey into St Ives.

The farm is accessed directly from the A1123. There are no fixed pitches as we want you to be able to please yourself and just enjoy the views over open countryside. There is power, water and a toilet with disposal facilities.

A cycleway/footpath has recently been completed connecting the Farm to Bluntisham Village which is 500m away (10 minute walk).

The village provides the following:

  • Budgens Supermarket with very good butcher
  • BP petrol station that can supply gas
  • Bluntisham Fryer Fish and Chip Shop (definitely worth a visit, can deliver if required)
  • Cafe with extensive menu for breakfast and lunch
  • Hand car wash
  • Barbers

The Pubs:

  • White Swan - Bluntisham (0.6 miles 15 mins walk, 5 mins by bike)
  • The Green Man - Colne (1.4 miles, 27 mins walks, 10 mins by bike)
  • The Crown Pub & Curry Garden Restaurant - Earith (1.6 miles, 31 mins walk, 12 mins by bike)
  • The Queens Head - Needingworth (1.9 miles, 38 mins walk, 15 mins by bike)
  • Pike and Eel - Needingworth (2.5 miles, 50 mins walk, 20 mins by bike)
  • Old Ferry Boat - Holywell (3.1 miles, 1 hr walk, 25 mins by bike)

There are the following local attractions:

On the way to St Ives is a Morrisons Supermarket - with petrol station and additional late opening shop. Located in the surrounding area there is a Tesco local, Marks & Spencers, McDonalds, Costa and a Subway. All only 2.9 miles away (accessible by the cycle path and a minor road).

Good site for visiting lots of places

We found Julie very accommodating with our needs, with a brand new van we really didn’t want to be on grass in March after some very wet months, this was no problem. Julie and I also contacted each other about our arrival and she met us at the entrance to... Show more

Lovely stay, lovely people

We spent a week a Priors Field CL. The reception from Paul and Julie was very friendly and they even zipped up our awning for us when it rained one day whilst we were out. Lots of lovely walks and places to visit nearby. Nice easy access for our "oversized" 8m caravan! The... Show more

Weekend away

Great welcome from Paul and Julie, very friendly and informative. The site is plenty spacious enough for a handful of vans and has easy access to the village and local store. Don't forget to use the business card from the site at the Butchers for a generous discount. Great pies... Show more

A welcoming CL

The owners met us as we arrived and gave us a warm welcome and a printed sheet giving details of local shops, facilities and walks. The field was neat and the grass well cut. There was quite a slope so care was needed to get the caravan level. The cycle... Show more

Great little site

Extremely friendly and welcoming introduction from paul and julie giving us details of all the local places to go. You can walk or ride into St Ives via a cycle path. We will be staying again when we are in the area. It was great to meet you both

Beware the busy road

Stayed here for 4 nights as the write up sounded very appealing - plus it had the added bonus of a loo - a must for our friends who joined us in their campervan. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. We were told the ideal place to... Show more

A great stay

We stayed here for a week with our friends, the owners Paul and Julie were very welcoming and knowledgable, our Motorhomes were sited together and we were able to open our awnings facing each other, but the wind came up so we had to take them down again. We had... Show more

Very pleasant site, exceptionally helpful and friendly owners

My first ever CL on its first weekend of opening and my first review. Lovely site, surprisingly quiet and peaceful despite the road being fairly busy when we got there. Owners were extremely helpful and welcoming. Due to illness we didnt stay for our second night or check out the... Show more

Very Good

Stayed here for two nights over the Whitsun Bank Holiday weekend. To be perfectly honest, we only booked this CL because we left it too late to book a space on any sites closer to Cambridge. We're glad we did get in here though, the hosts are friendly, helpful and... Show more
