NOTE: Please check our availability and book online through our website for the quickest response.

Cholsey Grange, we offer five fully-serviced hardstanding pitches, each with a stunning view of the Chilterns AONB; it's the ideal spot for a short break in the beautiful Chiltern Hills. We are easily accessible from the M40 and only 15 minutes from Oxford. We welcome you, your family and well-behaved dogs to our small farm of a few hundred acres. Our minimum stay varies depending on the season and availability.

  • Hardstanding Serviced Pitches
  • Each pitch has 16 Amp EHU, water & grey waste with lighting for winter nights
  • Stunning views
  • Comprehensive information prior to arrival
  • Open all year
  • WiFi (free & fast)
  • Coded security gate with CCTV
  • Mapped dog walks direct from the site
  • Good TV reception
  • Online availability & booking via our website
  • Abundant wildlife & fabulous walking
  • Electric Car Charging (fast) is available on the farm
  • Storage Facilities available

We've planned various walks around our farm, as well as longer jaunts to dog-friendly village pubs and landmarks like the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Windmill. In the evening, there are multiple lovely local pubs and restaurants to visit, some of which are within walking distance.

Keen cyclists will enjoy the challenging Chiltern Hills. If you own an Electric Bicycle it is certainly recommended if you are not a lycra-clad aficionado.

We have horses, sheep, and chickens on the farm (fresh eggs). There is abundant wildlife. We'll be surprised if you don't see Red Kites, Fallow Deer, or hear our Barn Owls.

Aside from admiring the scenery and watching wildlife, there is plenty to do in the area to suit everyone's preferences.

Explore nearby villages where TV shows and films such as "Endeavour," "Killing Eve," "The Vicar of Dibley," "Midsomer Murders," "Goodnight, Mr. Tom," and "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" were shot.

Nuffield Place, Grey Court, West Wycombe, Cliveden, and Waddesdon Manor are all nearby National Trust properties. We are close to the Roald Dahl Museum, Bekonskot model village, Legoland, and Thorpe Park for families.

Local towns such as Henley-on-Thames and Marlow offer plenty of attractions and opportunities for walks along the Thames. Garsington Opera, Henley Regatta, and Henley Festival are all worth attending.

Oxford and Reading are both 30 minutes away, and High Wycombe train station is only 40 minutes from West London. However, it should be noted that our village does not have a regular bus service.

We will provide you with detailed information about the site's many attractions and circular walks prior to your arrival. Make use of our new interactive CL visitor map. If you own a horse, you might be interested in our horse and rider holidays.

Because we are a popular site, we require a 50% deposit with the balance due 30 days before arrival. Our website contains our terms and conditions.

Highly recommended CL in the Chilterns

Cholsey Grange
This is undoubtedly the worthy winner of Best CL 2023 and Ted and Jackie deserve to retain the title in 2024. The Cholsey Grange CL website is linked from the CAMH Club website and booking, paying a deposit, email confirmation, correspondence and instructions, welcome on arrival and advice when leaving are the best we’ve ever experienced. Good sized hard standing, fully serviced pitches make setting up easy. The views of the Chiltern Hills and woodland are stunning. Red Kited, Buzzards, Wagtails, Fallow Deer and more abound. We were also entertained one evening by a stunt plane performing aerobatics. Laminated walks and (horse) rides from the site are provided through woods, meadows and quiet country lanes although some are quite challenging because it’s all up and down in the Chilterns. Pretty villages nearby have featured in many TV programmes and films. Henley on Thames is worth visiting (albeit expensive) with easy flat walks along the Thames Path from Mill End, Hambleden. If we were being hyper picky, a toilet or CDP a closer to the pitches would make it perfect, although installing a septic tank and soak-away on solid chalk is not easy. That said, the wheel barrow provided to carry the full cassette up to the farmyard is most helpful. We enjoyed our 3 nights so much we have already booked again in August.

Stunning views from fully serviced pitch

Cholsey Grange
Wonderful views across valley whilst Red Kites soar overhead and deer and Guinea fowl roam around pitch. Lots of local interest from National Trust properties and good pubs. There is some noise from local airfield and the chemical disposal point is a bit of a hike (wheelbarrow provided) but those are the only small negatives. We will look forward to our next visit. Thank you Ted.

Cholsey Grange
Thanks very much to Ted & Jackie for a wonderful stay. Very easy booking via the website, straightforward access using codes provided, well presented pitch with stunning views. Plenty of walks from the site; we did a walk to Christmas Common, lovely pub, and back. We will definitely be returning.

One of the Best views on the CL network

Cholsey Grange
Another totally relaxing stay at this glorious site that was awarded CL of the year in 2023. Fabulous views of the Chiltern Hills watching red kites soaring and deer roaming across the fields. Five minute walk to The Fox Inn or slightly further to Turville, filming location for the Vicar of Dibley and numerous other films and TV programmes. Five hard standing fully serviced pitches, fast WiFi and easy access from the M40 just a few miles away. Lots to do in the area with easy access to Marlow, Henley on Thames and the beautiful Chiltern villages and just a bit further to Windsor, Oxford or hop on a train to London from High Wycombe.
