Why stay here ...

Abbotts View Alpacas is an adult only, working ECO farm where we breed alpacas. Based in Bucks best kept village; Aston Abbotts.
Our Certificated Location is surrounded on three sides by small alpaca paddocks with alpacas and their cria (baby alpacas) gently grazing. Due to their very inquisitive nature you will no doubt have them watching you and they are particularly fond of laughing at people's reversing techniques! Views of the chiltern hills directly from your pitch.

Starry nights and extremely quiet, with the only sound being nature and church bells, yet within easy reach of 18 National Trust attractions (including Waddesdon Manor and Ascott House). The site is surrounded by wildlife with red kites, barn owls, woodpeckers and hares all regularly appearing. There are many local pubs in the surrounding villages (most within cycling distance), Bletchley Park (home of the codebreakers) is just 25 minutes away.

Direct access to cycling routes and several footpaths and circular routes all with a point of interest midway (maps provided). Nearest pub (The Unicorn in neighbouring Cublington) is a 1 mile walk from our site via a private style providing direct access to the footpath across fields with a wonderful vantage point to view the sunsetting over Aylesbury Vale

Power: The farm is 100% powered by solar and wind energy and we do not charge for electricity! Our hook ups are a full 16Amps. So household kettles, toasters, hair dryers, televisions, etc can all be used as normal. However, all our power is stored in a huge battery bank to get us through the night (or dark days) which means we can not provide power for heating or cooking. So heating and cooking must use gas. We really appreciate it if you support our green credentials by, wherever possible, using gas instead of electricity. e.g. for heating, hot water, fridge. This enables us to not charge for electricity or install meters.

Chemicals: Being an ECO site we have a strict chemical policy where we can not dispose of anything antibacterial or harsh chemicals. This includes your usual blue toilet additive and pink rinse and surprisingly many 'green additives' which it turns out are not so green. The only additives we accept that are the truly eco friendly are Blue Bio Clear and Sol Bio. Both are available to purchase on site at a discounted rate.

If you usually use a different product, please empty and rinse your chemical loo before arriving as we cannot dispose of chemicals on site.

The site is flat and laid to lawn

Adult only. No pets due to the stress it can cause to the alpacas.

Very special site

In 11 years of caravanning this is one of the best sites we have stayed on - & the only ECO one, which we thoroughly support! The pitch is level & very spacious, with water tap & waste disposal conveniently sited, & wonderful peace & quiet. James was... Show more

Wonderful site

We had a most enjoyable stay at this very peaceful site. A very friendly welcome from James who shared lots of local information. The site is very clean and tidy and the animals are an added joy. We would visit again if in the area and would definately recommend.

The best arrival info and welcome

Superb pre arrival and booking on-line information. Met by owner on arrival with additional information. Beautiful alpacas to see plus other animals. Level site on grass. Only gripe is that the chemical disposal is a standard loo with an adjacent water tap and hose but no obvious flush. We did not use it as... Show more

Delightful

We stayed in July 24 for three lovely peaceful nights in our Motorhome. Loads of space between pitches overlooking fields and farmland and of course the placid and inquisitive alpacas. EHU and wifi extender on each pitch, other facilities handily placed in corner of CL field. James very... Show more

Lovely tranquil site

Very friendly and welcoming hosts. Very quiet surroundings. It’s hard to believe you are in south east England. We did get rudely interrupted by some ducks walking past our campervan and by alpacas quietly grazing in the neighbouring field. I would definitely come back. Please note that there are two...
