Why stay here ...

Abbotts View Alpacas is an adult only, working ECO farm where we breed alpacas. Based in Bucks best kept village; Aston Abbotts.
Our Certificated Location is surrounded on three sides by small alpaca paddocks with alpacas and their cria (baby alpacas) gently grazing. Due to their very inquisitive nature you will no doubt have them watching you and they are particularly fond of laughing at people's reversing techniques! Views of the chiltern hills directly from your pitch.

Starry nights and extremely quiet, with the only sound being nature and church bells, yet within easy reach of 18 National Trust attractions (including Waddesdon Manor and Ascott House). The site is surrounded by wildlife with red kites, barn owls, woodpeckers and hares all regularly appearing. There are many local pubs in the surrounding villages (most within cycling distance), Bletchley Park (home of the codebreakers) is just 25 minutes away.

Direct access to cycling routes and several footpaths and circular routes all with a point of interest midway (maps provided). Nearest pub (The Unicorn in neighbouring Cublington) is a 1 mile walk from our site via a private style providing direct access to the footpath across fields with a wonderful vantage point to view the sunsetting over Aylesbury Vale

Power: The farm is 100% powered by solar and wind energy and we do not charge for electricity! Our hook ups are a full 16Amps. So household kettles, toasters, hair dryers, televisions, etc can all be used as normal. However, all our power is stored in a huge battery bank to get us through the night (or dark days) which means we can not provide power for heating or cooking. So heating and cooking must use gas. We really appreciate it if you support our green credentials by, wherever possible, using gas instead of electricity. e.g. for heating, hot water, fridge. This enables us to not charge for electricity or install meters.

Chemicals: Being an ECO site we have a strict chemical policy where we can not dispose of anything antibacterial or harsh chemicals. This includes your usual blue toilet additive and pink rinse and surprisingly many 'green additives' which it turns out are not so green. The only additives we accept that are the truly eco friendly are Blue Bio Clear and Sol Bio. Both are available to purchase on site at a discounted rate.

If you usually use a different product, please empty and rinse your chemical loo before arriving as we cannot dispose of chemicals on site.

The site is flat and laid to lawn

Adult only. No pets due to the stress it can cause to the alpacas.

Excellent communication, warm welcome and beautiful setting. Good facilities in keeping with the ethos of the site. Amazing to be so close to the animals. We will definitely return.

Abbotts View Alpacas
I almost don’t want to say how great this place is as I want to keep it a secret! Beautiful and peaceful site with stunning views. There are only a handful of pitches which we loved, large in size with electric hook up and wifi. We loved being able to look out at the alpacas and horses. Toilets are immaculate and there’s easy access to water, chemical disposal, and grey waste disposal. Lovely walks from the site and a lovely little shop with coffee, crafts and sweet treats. We can’t wait to come back. The access road is narrow but it’s not far along it to the access to the site and there are passing places. This said, we didn’t encounter another vehicle in our camper so wasn’t an issue.

This is a lovely site where James and Jo Dell are running an Eco Farm which certainly has our vote of approval. It was peaceful, in a lovely location for walks and bike rides and had lots of animals enjoying plenty of tlc. The local information was first class and covered everything and more than we could need. The hosts were really friendly and had time for a chat and showed a real desire to ensure we had a great stay. Which we certainly did.

Lovely views from site

Abbotts View Alpacas
Just spent 5 sunny days at Aston Abbots. Nice site situated away from main road traffic. Spacious plots with electric and really good wi fi. Two very clean toilets and loads of alpacas to keep you entertained. The owners have put a lot of work making this site ( and surrounding farm ) into a very eco friendly set up and all credit to the way it has turned out. The site is behind electric gates and you just ‘ feel safe ‘ I cycled from the site along quit roads into Aylesbury via the Grand Union Canal and Leighton Buzzard is also within easy reach. National Trust properties are also nearby. No dogs because of the animals.Hopefully it won’t get used, but even a defibrillator on site and trained first aiders on site with the farm. Many thanks to James and Jo for creating this little gem.

Abbotts View Alpacas
Easy, accessible site, info waiting for us in the mail box upon arrival. Secure site with electronic gates and key fob, lovely to have a good information pack with what's on the local area. Lovely to have toilets on site which were nice and clean, although for the farm as well, we never had any problem in accessing them. The stars of the week were the Alpacas, although having been shorn, their lovey hairstyle made our day. Wonderful to see them stroll past our caravan in the evening. Access to local places of interest and eateries was easy, and the highlight of our trip was Bletchley Park, with Waddesdon Manor a close second. Thank you James and Jo for a delightful stay.
