Royal Yacht Britannia
No trip to Scotland’s capital city is complete without a visit to the Royal Yacht Britannia. If you’re driving, free parking is available at the multi-storey Blue Car Park at Ocean Village, but a motorhome-friendly outdoor alternative is available just to the left of the car park entrance.
Free headsets are available for self-conducted audio tours, or you can scan a QR code to listen to the tour on your own mobile device and headphones. A lift offers access between all decks, and wheelchair users can access most parts of the ship.
You will feel the magic of being transported back in time to an age of modest elegance and style. The Royal apartments are far from opulent; they are understated and homely. In complete contrast, the communal accommodation of the petty officers and ‘Yotties’ on the lower decks is rudimentary and cramped.
It will take you around two hours to make your way around, but make sure you allow time to stop for tea and cake in the fancy Royal Tea Room.

Traquair House
Traquair House is Scotland's oldest inhabited house, built over 900 years ago in 1107 and has been visited by 27 Kings and Queens, and with strong connections to the Jacobites and Mary Queen of Scots.
The stunning house is set in the picturesque Tweed Valley, just over an hour's drive from the Edinburgh Club campsite. When you arrive you’ll be able to go inside the house for a tour, visit the working brewery, get lost in the large hedged maze or sit and enjoy a coffee and the surroundings in their Garden Cafe.
There’s fun for all of the family to enjoy, and even the dog! If you’re travelling in your motorhome, there is designated parking available for you campers too.

Edinburgh Castle
Edinburgh Castle is one of the oldest fortified places to visit in Europe. The rich history of the castle comes to life when you step inside, you’ll trace the steps of soldiers, kings and queens, and possibly even pirates!
This incredible landmark has something for everyone to enjoy, from tours of the castle to walks around the stunning grounds. They have options for guided tours, or you can jump straight into the action and explore by yourself. There’s also places to stop for a bite to eat or a hot drink.
The Great Hall in the castle is one of Scotland’s many medieval wonders, completed in 1511 for King James IV. With high beams, carved stone heads, statues, and other Scottish symbols like their famous thistles, this is a must-see place to visit when you’re in Edinburgh.
