Bel, Pays de Loire (Club ref. A34)
With so much to discover, Pays de la Loire is a great place to stay for incredible landscapes and rich cultural history, from the Loire Valley to the incredible long stretches of sandy beach in the Vendée department. Why not incorporate a trip to the incredible islands of Noirmoutier and Île d'Yeu into your break, where you'll get to view a centuries-old castle and explore the sand dunes, coves, moorlands and headlands of these island gems.
Bel campsite is located just 300m from La Tranche-sur-Mer, one of the Vendée’s most popular resorts. Bel is well located close to the town centre and within walking distance to several beaches along the coast such as Tranche Bel Plage Clemenceau only 1.2km away, Plage de la Tranche 1.3km and Plage de la Grière just a little further away at 3.6km.
On site there are play areas for young children, a heated pool, tennis and badminton. Families can also relax and enjoy water sports nearby. If you need some refreshment, snacks can be enjoyed in the onsite bar and just a short stroll away, the town offers some great restaurants and bars.
Perfect for those looking for an active break, the surrounding area has lots of cycle and walking paths, famous French street markets as well as the harbour of La Rochelle, a must see by day or by night. There's also several aquatic parks nearby, and those willing to venture further afield, will enjoy the Puy du Fou historic theme park.
Eurosol, Nouvelle Aquitaine (Club ref. A27)
Home to some of France's best sandy beaches, the Landes department in Nouvelle Aquitaine has over 200km of beautiful coastline backed by large dunes and stunning pine forests. If you're after a more active break then Hossegor in the southern area near to Biarritz, is a popular spot for surfers, with large waves coming from the Atlantic Ocean. Whilst for those holidaying with smaller children, there are also several lakes inland to provide some calmer water fun.
You could take a visit to the popular resorts of Biscarrosse and Mimizan or if they prove to be too busy in the summer months, try the 13 km stretch of Saint-Girons beach, one of the less well known beaches in the area with large waves making it great for body boarding.
Eurosol Camping Club is only 700m from the sea and surrounded by pine forest it's an ideal choice for a getaway. For those who like to keep the sand off their feet, the campsite has 3 swimming pools and there are multiple recreational activities such as tennis courts, boules, table tennis, crazy golf and a multi-sports area as well as bike hire. A supermarket, bakery, bar and restaurant provide your culinary needs.
La Plage (Club ref. B15)
Situated in wonderful Brittany, La Plage campsite is the perfect spot for a beach getaway being just 50m from the fine sand of Plage du Steir. Whether you want to take part in the many water sports on offer or just relax on the beach, it has everything and more. Windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, surfing, stand-up paddle boarding or bodyboarding, you could even try a spot of sea fishing!
There's so much to explore in the Finistère region from beautiful villages to historic sites. You could visit Guilvinec, the first French fishing port or explore the GR34 - The Customs Trail - Brittany's most celebrated hike. Discover rugged headlands and dramatic cliffs, swathes of dancing wildflowers, wide sandy beaches and quaint fishing ports that are dotted along the Breton coastline.
If you want to relax at the campsite then La Plage has lots to offer including a heated, covered pool as well as sports activities and entertainment in the summer. You could even try the Wellness and Fitness centre which boasts a sauna and fitness room, beauty treatments and massages. Then what better way to end a busy day than enjoying a drink on the bar terrace overlooking the Aquapark before heading to the restaurant to sample the fish dish of the day.
