Good for families

Very poor and really scruffy

We stayed here January to March 2018 - caravan pitches in certain areas and ( paid for ) wifi ok, restaurant good. Overall this large site is scruffy and areas of the permanent setups look like a shanty town you would find in Africa in the 1960s. The toilet blocks are 30 years out of date and badly maintained, although the cleaning staff work tirelessly to try and keep them clean. Can't really say anything else, except to avoid it.

Response from Site:

Thank you for your feedback in relation to your stay at Caravaning La Manga. We have taken on board your comments in relation to our sanitary blocks and this year we have made some significant improvements. We have changed the heaters in the blocks and we have improved the hot water capacity. We are also going to be changing the washing machines in each sanitary block.

Harsh review. We also stayed from Jan to March 2018 and yes the site is tired and in need of some tlc but it is still very good value for money. Wifi is excellent and coupled with good English tv coverage for 30 euro per month for both is excellent value. Pitches are of a decent size with own fresh and waste water. The majority of permanent set ups are an eclectic mix and on the opposite side of the site to the camping pitches. You only need to see them as you drive onto the site otherwise you wouldn't know they were there if they offend that much but they all add to the mix and character. The toilet blocks could do with updating but they are cleaned at least 3 times per day and are always spotless (can only speak for winter months). The shop is excellent and is well stocked with freshly baked bread and pastries, fresh meat, fruit & veg, a good chilled cabinet as well as groceries and a diy section. All staff from owners to cleaners, to shop, bar, restaurant security are friendly and helpful. It is known as a marmite site but whether you like it or hate it it is only right to be fair.
