Great CL

The Courts
Spent three nights at The Courts and what a beautiful spot. Although there are no far reaching views the woodland location more than makes up for that. Friendly welcome from Paul on arrival. This is a new CL and Paul has done everything he can to make it lovely. Huge pitches. Walks straight from the site. Would have no hesitation in visiting the site again.

A Greatly Needed Facility for the Village, and Perfectly Created

The Courts
We're used to staying on CLs and paying approximately £15 p.n., although the going rate seems to be creeping up to cover energy-costs etc. I was a little apprehensive about paying £30 per night, but booked as it's the only site in the area where we wanted to stay. The site is brand new and maintained pristinely, and must have been a huge investment for the owners, with state-of-the-art fully-serviced pitches, all separated by healthy laurels which will mature into lovely hedges. The location is perfect, on the edge of gorgeous woodland, with both central Danbury and the river Chelmer/Paper Mill Lock less than two miles away (to the south and north) through fabulous woodland/countryside walks. Our 7 nights went far too quickly, and it was a real wrench to drag ourselves away. This is a much-needed facility within the beautiful district of Little Baddow/Danbury, and we will DEFINITELY make time to return at least once a year. It was certainly worth every penny!

Stunning small campsite

The Courts
Arrived in April to a very warm welcome from Paul. The site is immaculate and set in a sheltered hollow. All 5 pitches are fully serviced and on gravel. It is so peaceful there. Just outside the site is a walk through the woods and the bluebells are spectacular. This leads on to further walks in beautiful countryside with some amazing views. Paul was a mine of information helping choose our daily trips and local eateries. We visited Maldon, Chelmsford, the tea rooms at the lock and The Tin Roof at a brilliant garden centre. We also walked to Olio, the local restaurant, twice as it was soo good. They welcome dogs. Our stay was perfect. Thank you Paul. We were in a Motorhome. Our friends have a caravan, so it was easy to get around.

Immaculately kept campsite

The Courts
Lovely small campsite in amazing setting which is kept immaculate. A lot of hard work has gone into making this site absolutely perfect in every way including fully serviced pitches. There’s some beautiful walks direct from the site and loads of sightseeing around the area. The local pub serves excellent food and is only a five minute walk, it also allows dogs in the bar area. Brilliant site with great owners, would highly recommend.
