Why stay here ...

A great location for exploring the area with good public transport links to Barcelona and excellent facilities on site including a lovely Catalan restaurant.

A little bit about the site

A former farm, this large and attractive site has been built on a terraced hillside located midway between Barcelona and Tarragona, and offers an enjoyable stay all year round. Guests are welcomed by the friendly, English-speaking staff and the hardstanding pitches are set on gently sloping ground, shaded by trees. Due to the terraced landscape of the site it is necessary to use steps or slopes to access many of the facilities around the site.

The facilities are first-class and include a lovely pool complex with water jets and a wellness centre with a gym, sauna and jacuzzi. With a strong emphasis on social activities the campsite offers aqua gym, Zumba, salsa classes and bingo nights. Evenings can be spent dining in the beautifully restored Catalan restaurant and bar.

The site is well-placed for visiting Barcelona, which can be reached by excellent public transport links or car. Visitors here can explore Gaudí’s famous cathedral and Park Güell, as well as the various art galleries and the bustling street of Las Ramblas. Tarragona is also within driving distance and is an important historic town.

Vilanova Park April 2024

Vilanova Park

Part of an Easter getaway, specifically wanting to visit Barcelona. Very easy to access, just off the main route to Barcelona. Friendly reception staff speaking very good English, one staff member was actually English. Escorted to our pitch and was immediately given a larger one. We have a 7m Sprinter and many pitches would have been too small. Our pitch was perfectly flat, no ramps needed. Electrical connection is standard 13A European, NOT 16A 3 pin round, but we carry an adaptor. Many have said it, the site is huge. Didn't see any of the holiday homes occupied near us, which made it very quiet. There were quite a few school groups on site but didn't experience any noise. Can imagine in high season the place must be heaving. At the weekend, loads of city folk descended on the site, apparently a lot of them have a pitch for 3 months early season and spend weekends there, who wouldn't. The restaurant was pleasant, serving good value food. The site shop was surprisingly large and very well stocked. The outdoor pool with slides was open but the water is not heated, looked lovely but too cold for us. Didn't look at the wellness area. Large clay outdoor sports pitches next to the main pool, ideal for sporty families. Tennis courts up by the main entrance. Modern laundry facilities. The elsen point is in a locked cupboard, you have to go to reception for a key and leave your identity card, do your emptying and go back to reception, quite a trek up/down and again. The bus to Barcelona was excellent, about an hour each way and numerous departure times, cash only and it only runs Monday to Friday. Overall, a very pleasant place to stay and a great location for visiting nearby. The town market on Saturday was full of local produce and very good value, bought great ingredients for a BBQ.

Large and Friendly

Vilanova Park
Stayed 4 nights Mid April 2023, Some pitches are small, we were able to move to a larger pitch without any problem, very accommodating. Large site, busy road outside so couldn't walk the dog off-site. Spotless toilets and showers, restaurant serves excellent food, 2 fantastic pool complexes and sports area, ideal for families.

Very large site , Super restaurant , very noisy in the evenings

Vilanova Park
We stayed on the site for one week at the end of March 2023 . This is a very large site the main of the site is taken up by holiday lodges. The worst thing about the site was we found it very noisy in the evenings with rowdy families having parties in the lodges , on a couple of nights there was noise well into 1:00 AM . The site has an absolutely superb restaurant , we ate at the inside restaurant every evening , beautiful crisp white linen tablecloths and napkins , a very good choice of food however we did find that the staff we're very overworked and tended to more or less drop the food Infront of you and rush off . There is a regular bus service from the gates of the site into the centre of Barcelona this was very handy , we also took the local bus from the gate of the site into the local town . The so-called Wellness centre is a bit of a joke , it's just an indoor pool where the water is slightly heated . Whenever we went it was absolutely rammed with children , the sauna was closed , they should rename it the ” indoor children's pool” . Because of the noise in the evenings we won't be going back

A very large site but good quality and quiet in March

Vilanova Park
We booked 4 nights in Vilanova in March, on our way back up the coast on the return leg of our Spanish tour. We made our booking a few days before arriving, but there was plenty of space. We wanted a few days’ relaxation after a busy few days in Valencia, and had exactly that. Vilanova town didn’t look that interesting at first glance but when we walked down the following day we found the old part, the market, the pleasant beach and the extensive marina and we were won over. We visited Sitges one day, making the mistake of going by bus, which took ages – the return by train was the same price and way quicker. The site itself, as others have said, is enormous with many different companies’ mobile homes and chalets, but in March it was very quiet and our pitch was fine, although a little difficult to access up a sharp kerb. Facilities were superb. We would be happy to go back if we’re in the area again.

Very good site

Vilanova Park
We stayed here for a week in January 2023. It’s a very large site on the outskirts of Vilanova i la Geltrú. We found it easily and after checking in we were escorted to "area G" where we were able to choose our pitch. The pitches in this area are set amongst pine trees and are all quite shady - we could have done with a bit more sun to be honest as it was the depths of winter, but our chosen pitch was a good size and level. The site is very big, with a lot of mobile homes etc, but is beautifully kept, and the shower and toilet blocks had nice shower and vanity cubicles with plenty of hot water and were kept very clean. As it was low season the two outdoor pools were closed, but the indoor pool/wellness centre, bar/restaurant and supermarket were all open for a few hours a day. Wi-Fi is free in the bar if you buy a drink. The town is very pleasant and is about an hour’s walk, but there is a regular bus service from the site - you can buy a 10 journey ticket from the site shop. We had day trips out to Barcelona (bus service from the site), Sitges - a seaside resort with narrow streets and original shops, and to the Roman city of Tarragona. We booked with the CAMC and paid about £21 a night for a fully serviced pitch with 10 amp electricity included; local taxes payable on arrival added €2 per night. It was our second stay here after a 10 year gap, and we would stay again.
