Why stay here ...

Located in the bustling resort of Benidorm and just 15 minutes’ walk from long, sandy beaches, this site offers plenty for families seeking an active summer break and is also a relaxing winter sun destination. With pitches set on wide terraces and a selection of modern facilities, it caters well to all ages and has a lively, friendly atmosphere.

The fantastic tropical-style outdoor pool is overlooked by the restaurant and surrounded by a grassy sunbathing area dotted with palms and shrubs. There is also a heated indoor pool to enjoy during the winter months.

The area has lots to do, including the excellent water park, Aqualandia, which has pools, flumes, splash pools and more to entertain families. Benidorm has a variety of beaches, bars and shops, while the port town of Alicante, with its bustling harbour and medieval fortress, is well worth a visit.

Ideal site for Benidorm

Villasol
Camping Villasol is a busy site in a perfect location for Benidorm, being only a 20 minute walk from Playa Levante beach. It’s currently undergoing refurbishment which meant there was a lot of noise and dust, but we were well aware of that when we booked so we can’t complain. The refurbishment is being done to a high standard. We were upgraded, at no extra cost, to one of the newly refurbished service pitches which which was large, level and sunny. The two toilet blocks which had been renewed were lovely, and a third was being worked on whilst we were there; the older blocks were clean but rather tired. There is an upgraded supermarket on site with reasonable prices. The bar/restaurant was open all day except Monday and served breakfast as well as lunch and dinner - it was busy in the evenings. There was a special Valentine’s evening whilst we were there with entertainment which was a nice touch. Even though it was low season, there was a programme of activities every day - Zumba, Spanish lessons, aquafit in the indoor pool for example. There are a mix of nationalities on site. There are some holiday bungalows and some permanent caravans but these were situated towards the top end of the site. All in all, if you like Benidorm, it’s a nice place to stay.

Disappointing Site

Villasol
Good points are as follows - Shop on site Restaurant on site Swimming pool Within walking distance to Benidorm Bad Points - Pitches and units rammed very closely together, some permanent structures erected that give it an itinerant feel in places No water or waste drainage on pitches Fresh water and CEP a trek from the pitch Toilets blocks although clean, very dated and needs a refurb No digital TV reception unless your tv has the old analogue signal, bring a cable WIFI, is very poor as they tell you at reception Some pitches very difficult to get onto and uneven. There management have been saying for a few years they are going to do an upgrade of 1,000,000 euros but nothing has changed. Be careful as a Dutch couple got robbed on the dark road to the site. Get taxis if in town after dark..

Met all our expectations and more!

Villasol
Bad points - allocated pitch backing on to busy noisy road, can keep you awake, apparently you can ask to be moved but we had such nice neighbours we didn't bother. Electric but no water on pitch nor waste disposal, We like everything to hand! Electric cable locked in to hook up box, a 'man' comes to unlock you on day of departure (nothing extra to pay so happy days!), presumably to stop you driving off without paying. Good points - fantastic location to Benidorm- beaches, bars, restaurants, markets, shops, cafes et al. Lovely walks down to the prom and the old town and wonderful weather to boot. Staff friendly and helpful as are most/all other campers, some of whom seem to live here! Pool excellent as is on site bar and restaurant. Facilities slightly tired but I never had to queue for a shower or anything else! Prices are amazing. Market five minutes up the road twice a week and a flea market about twenty minutes away. My wife and I (in our mid/late sixty's) absolutely loved it and will definitely be back, Benidorm is everything you expect and more and this site allows you to sample it all whilst being far enough away to ignore it all if you wish, perfect!!

The best site in Benidorm

Villasol
We have visited Villasol many times, this being the first time we have booked through the club. (We normally turn up on spec) booking through the club saved about €2 per night from the ACSI rate and about the €5 per night on the normal rate. The site is in our opinion the best in Benidorm both for position and for facilities. With regards to pitches, the reception will either present you with a map of available pitches, or if busy allocate you a pitch (they are generally first come first served) if you are unhappy with your pitch then a visit to reception always results in a sheet of available pitches for you to choose, providing of course there are pitches spare. If there’s none spare they generally tell you to keep an eye out for a suitable pitch, then ask to move. (We have never been refused a move when spare pitches come available) We prefer to be away from the road, which can be a bit noisy (although quiet at night) and not at the rear of the pool which can be noisy from the bar entertainment. Main section from halfway up, to the top of the hill are our preferred pitches. The vast majority of pitches are level, certainly within the usual ramp limits that we carry. With regards to cleanliness, the toilets/showers are cleaned twice daily (closed in rotation) we have never had any issues. The showers are particularly good with decent pressure and endless hot water. There’s a reasonably well priced shop on site, and a large supermarket within 10 mins walk. Electricity is usually charged from the pitch meter at about 40c per KW. Reception is manned 24hrs a day and are always helpful in our experience. We usually tour Spain/Portugal each Spring and Autumn staying mainly at Camperstops, but Villasol is the only place we would stay in the Benidorm area.
