Second visit and not disappointed

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite
This site is basic in that there are no kids play areas, just pitches and the usual facilities ie toilets, shower rooms, laundry and washing up area. The site sits in the middle of a housing estate on a hill with the main railway line behind it: this can get noisy with trains passing a lot. The pitches were adequate for my small van but with a larger caravan and the need to reverse, if someone has the pitch in front it could be tricky. The toilets and showers are immaculate and spotless clean. A big plus point for me and my family. The site is well maintained with clean water and waste areas and plenty of bins and recycling areas. A short walk into Spittal and you can go onto the beach. A longer walk down by the docks and across the bridge, gets you into Berwick town. The town walls walk I can recommend, very interesting. Lovely basic site, very friendly staff. We would definitely return for a quiet break away.

Great views, some short pitches, no play area

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite
Generally a nice site but a few things Pros: •The view! •Nice enough beach a quick walk away •Handy for exploring Northumberland •Site staff were great •I'd say it's more suited for people without young kids/with older kids/no kids Cons: •No children's play area (but there is a brilliant one on spittal promenade!) •Toilet block is a bit dated now •Some of the pitches are like, really short. If you've limited choice as it's busy and you've got a long caravan I'm not really sure what you'd do! Our pitch wasn't much more than maybe 8.2m long and our caravan is 7.9, it didn't leave much room between our hitch and the main site road, and that's with the van back as far as possible. Could do with roughly allocating pitches based on unit size as I can't drive round the site constantly unhitching and trying out the pitch for size. We struggled to get onto the pitch too as the road is so narrow and other units directly opposite. Even getting the car out required a bit of shuffling! We probably won't return for a while due to these reasons but that's not to say it's a bad site, it just wasn't for us.

Great site, great team but Berwick Upon Tweed was very disappointing

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite
The site and most pitches offer fantastic views across the estuary and bay, stunning and lovely. The site team were very accommodating and the facilities are just as described 10/10. Unfortunately in front and behind are housing estates which are far from fantastic, and for us, spoilt the vista to a point. B-o-T was a huge disappointment and was clearly run down and appeared to be depraved from the mix of shops and mostly tracksuit hoody wearing shoppers. That said, the only menswear shop we saw was Sport Direct, which may explain all the tracksuits and hoodies! There are several sights worth seeing, as are the seals in the bay and on the beech, but B-o-T is nothing to behold and for that reason we would not revisit.

A lovely stay!

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite
What a lovely site! Stayed here with our dog for a few days and enjoyed the peace and quiet! A nice tidy site with a hard working teem of staff. One of the days we were here was during a bit of a storm and watching the sea change from our caravan window was much nicer than being outside! Lovely views and a great location to walk down to the sea. Not far from Berwick Upon Tweed, we drove as our dog was elderly but it is in walking distance. It does have a train track behind it but after a while you don't really hear the trains. Thanks for a great stay!

Great view

Berwick Seaview Club Campsite
We were amazed how the staff kept the toilet block clean, considering the appalling weather! Agree with previous review that the shellfish platter from Berwick Shellfish company is excellent, and a bargain. Handy having a M&S and a Go Outdoors so close as well. Loads to see and do in the area, site worth a visit. We were lucky with the train noise, there were no trains over the weekend we stayed, due to works on the line - bonus!
