Castleton Club Campsite is situated within a bowl at the heart of the Peak National Park and boasts beautiful views. One of our many Derbyshire caravan sites, this site is ideally suited for all interests and seasons, with each pitch being all-weather and local shops open all year round. The Christmas period is particularly spectacular, with town streets awash with festive lights and late night shopping for those last minute treats. There are a variety of pubs to choose from in the local village as well.

Castleton Club Campsite has easy access to all kinds of fun outdoor activities for the family to enjoy, such as rock climbing, potholing, biking and horse riding. The area offers endless lovely landscapes to stroll in at your leisure, including the dramatic Winnatt's Pass, Mam Tor and Ladybower Reservoir. The village of Castleton, dominated by the ruins of William the Conqueror's Peveril Castle from which it gets its name, is a convenient half a mile away. It's hard to imagine another caravan site that can offer such a selection of natural and historical features. All in all, the entire area promises an unforgettable holiday getaway.

Long weekend birthday break

Castleton Club Campsite
Had a couple of nights as it's not too far away for us. Just a birthday getaway and went to Ye Olde Cheshire Cheese for her birthday. had a drink and excellent Sunday roast. Recommend the place as it is only 10 minutes walk from the site, as is most of Castleton really. 20 yards further up is the quirky Peak Hotel, good ales and strange things on the walls. Great to walk around the village. Site up to the usual high standards expected from the club. Some of the pitches of appear to have a slope from front to back, so if your corner steadies are not overly long a block or two might be an idea to include in your kit. It is a great weekend getaway if local (we are on the edge of Peak District) and if from further afield you could spend weeks in the area, it's beautiful. It does appear quite a busy site, so don't leave it too late to book.

Good position to walk & cycle from

Castleton Club Campsite
Easily accessed site, gravel pitches which most require some form of levelling system. One way system so don’t forget to visit the Motorhome service point on the right as you pass through the entrance barrier as you can’t return to it without going out the exit barrier then back through the entry barrier again. Seemed to be a lot of dogs on the site some better behaved than others, one unit having 6 dogs! Excellent walking & cycling routes direct from the site.

Great first voyage into motorhome Travels

Castleton Club Campsite
Access to site really good and the team makes sure you have a map.know.where to.go. Pitches are really well spaced, and facilities are fabulous, shower toilet block warm, washing up area enclosed and plenty hot.water. Water and disposal.fcilites well distributed on site, dog walking areas small.but adequate. Drying room real.bonus. Had couple of seasoned travellers who didn't have a volume button and obviously wanted people to benefit from.their conversation but other than that was fabulous. Great first voyage and well worth.membership onto.next adventure hope all go as well as this one. Well organised site great facilities and location.

Lovely site close to local facilities

Castleton Club Campsite
We have been to the Castleton Club site many times, it’s a lovely site in a beautiful setting. The facilities of Castleton village are only a short walk away, with many pubs available, serving excellent food. Most places are dog friendly. It was very, very cold during our stay and we did have an issue with the site electricity going off across our part of the site, which was a little frustrating, however this will not put us off returning in 2024.
