Loos!

Toilet issues....

Ok so what is it - is it a joke or a plan on a bigger scale to get those of us without full toilet facilities in our van to upgrade?

Why do sites with only 1 toilet block (not enough by any standards) close for cleaning at 10.30 am to 12 noon?!! The time I would think most people need to use it...!

Picture this...

Lovely leisurely breakfast, several cups of tea, pots washed, preparing for a lovely time out somewhere, need to spruce up a bit, shower, shave, shugar just remembered toilet blocks close in 10 minutes... so do we go out looking like we've been dragged through a hedge backwards? or wait until 12 when the block opens up again? Ok 1 or 2 toilets are usually available, but when the sight holds 100 plus vans, that just plain silly!!!

Surely the most sensible time to clean would be say early afternoon or middle - when most people are out and about elsewhere. Even 2 smaller blocks rather than just 1 would make more sense, then one could be open while other closed.

I am sure I am not the only one with comments on this, as several people on sites like this have mentioned the same problems.

I would like to add though in no uncertain terms, the reason we use the Cara Club sites and are members is because the sites and toilets/showers etc. are clean - so well done for that and thankyou.

Sue a lover of being able to go to the loo when ever I need to :-)

I wonder while I'm on the subject of Loos - is there any one out there that can shed light on why when a toilet has say - 10 loos vacant...the next person in take the loo next to mine?!

It beggars belief but it happens - is it Safety in numbers? - Why?

Also - you would think frown ups - you know - adults with knowledge and wiley ways, would wash their flipping hands after going to the loo, but not all do - GROSE!

So beware 'the lurking hand' - unwashed - emerging from the crapper - to touch the very door handle you need to hold to get out - UGH!! Filthy Beasts!

Sue a lover of cleanliness and privacy ! :-)

The late morning is the only time available to the wardens to clean the toilets. The afternoon is taken up by booking people in and other duties.

The number of toilet blocks is dictated by the size and layout of the site and two small ones take up more space than one large one so two can reduce the number of pitches available..

Yes it is so!! After being wardens for several years we know that, after lunch. we are fully occupied with meeting & greeting our much appreciated guests!! I'm sure that you will appreciate the Wardens full attention when asking about the site & local attractions etc. You may even want to go out for a nice meal!  We could tell you where to try!!
