Yes, we used a gobur for some years and enjoyed it very much,it was the slim line not like yours and in time one becomes too stiff and old to lift the walls.  now its a Sprite with fixed bed the Alpine 4 arn't we lazy

We met a couple in Wales who had a Gobur, they encouraged everyone to have a look at their van, I got an invite inside and really enjoyed being shown the works! I heard there was a Gobur Club for the owners to meet at the production plant, does that still happen, it sounded like an impressive way to look after the customers.

Write your comments here...yes, there is a Gobur Owners Club (GOC) - just google the title to find it on the web. The manufacturers invite everyone to their showroom / factory the first weekend in October each year, to catch up on new models, look at secondhand ones on sale, see how they are made, bits 'n bobs sale, free buffet- even a free dinner in the evening!

Write your comments here...not at all- I was able to buy my first Gobur Carousel from a gentleman who bought it new at the age of 71(!) and by the age of 83(!) having got a bit older and also having been bereaved, decided to sell his pride and joy- but did he give up caravanning- of course not! He just replaced the Carousel with a conventional caravan- good for him! His decision enabled me to upgrade from an Esterel which was getting beyond economic maintenance.

On our 2nd "little Gobbie"  Started with a 10/2 Slimline in 2007 and have progressed to a 12/2T, standard width  Can't recommend both the van and the manufacturers enough  The October weekend is great fun and there are so many Goburs on the site that we use at Upper Sheringham that the common vans look decidedly out of place
