Granny's Bus!

This story happened on: 28/05/2012

On my very first caravan trip back in 2007, I chose to go to the Cotswolds, where I had served in the RAF in the 1970s. I stayed at Bladon Chains CC site, on the edge of the Bleheim estate at Woodstock, near Oxford. I liked the site, and have been back a number of times since. On a trip to Salisbury the following year, I stopped off at Bladon Chains, and visited the bus museum at nearby Long Hanborough. As I went round the exhibits, I was particularly interested to see an old coach type bus with a Norfolk registration- when I investigated further, I discovered that it was owned by a company in Martham, a broadland village, where my grandmother was brought up. It turned out that this was the bus that granny used to ride on to go shopping in Great Yarmouth many years ago! It's the one on the right.
