This was our first trip abroad in our Motorhome. Having arrived in Bilbao by ferry at 8am we left the port finally at 9.30. we drove down to Camping regio via Burgos where we stopped to explore for a few hours to break up the long 6 hour journey. We were allowed to pick our own pitch and found one on the edge of the site. The welcome was good, staff speaking good English if needed. During our four night stay we twice caught the bus into Salamanca which took about 35 minutes and cost 1.65 euros each for a single. We used the site swimming pool which was unheated but invigorating and fine as long as you kept moving. Plenty of loungers available to relax too. The bathroom facilities were very clean with lots of hot water. The only thing we found unusual is that the toilet paper is not in the cubicles. You have to decide how much you need before you go in, or take your own roll! We found out later in our trip that this is normal on foreign sites and we got used to it quickly. We would certainly return to this site.
