Lovely stay at Wharfdale, but
Wharfdale is a lovely site with plenty of walks and lots to do and see. The Wardens, as always work very hard and keep the site toilets etc in excellent condition even walking around the site to pick up any litter inadvertently dropped by members. Our stay as ever was most enjoyable.
However I have two hopefully constructive criticisms.
The first applies to the refurbished Toilets and to most sites. The number of WC’s in the Gents is totally inadequate. I often found two people queueing in the morning to use the WC. When the site is full and the club seem to have got the ratios wrong. Less wash cubicles and urinals and at least two more WC’s on a site like this please!
The second is why, Oh why, did the club cut down and not replace all the shrubs and hedges that helped to screen parts of the site from other parts. The far end of the site is now six solid rows of caravans dotted by the odd tree. This cannot have helped the wildlife! Please replace the shrubs and hedges.
Otherwise a lovely site with excellent refurbished facilities which is well worth a visit.
