Had a great weekend here while visiting Cardiff for the rugby, the only issue came when trying to ascertain when the ‘National Trust’ gate leading to the site was unlocked in the morning. The time at which it is locked is posted in large print on the information sheet, and everyone is provided with a key to allow one to come and go, but nothing about when it is unlocked for the day, we couldn’t find any other information around reception in the morning either, so we drove down the lane, found it open, turned around and left the key at the reception. Of course I should have ascertained this information earlier but it might be helpful to have the time displayed somewhere. The rating of 3 in the ‘Good for families’ field is because it’s a required field even if one has no family in attendance, so I went middle of the road.
