We stayed just 2 nights and had a very peaceful stay. Staff very welcoming indeed and advice on hand. Immaculate cleanliness all over site and pitches furthest away from entrance have no road noise at all. Although it's not a problem as really only locals using it as a Belper mini bypass ! We left our MH pitched up and opted for the local bus into town. Recommend not bothering as 2 scheduled buses never turned up and you have to pay 12p per minute to phone the bus travel information. Cheeky little earner for not running buses. Uber £5.80 into Belper - won't bother with buses again, which is a pity. Great views over valley and yes it's called the Firs for a reason , so plenty trees around although do perhaps obstruct 80% of the gorgeous views. So, couldn't have had a more peaceful stay and will definitely be heading back soon.
