Have just spent 2 weeks on this site and loved it, even in the rain! We arrived in brilliant sunshine after the previous couple of days of high winds and rain. The welcome was so friendly from a very well organised happy team, so impressive especially as we were booked in for 2 weeks, we've never stayed on a site for longer than 4 days! We loved our stay with so much to do on the Island. I had planned various days out and was pleased that the weather held for most of our trips. Osbourne Beach was so relaxing in their deck chairs just watching the sailing boats and ferries, I didn't think I'd get my husband round the house before closing time! We can highly recommend the Pointer Inn in the village (turn left out of the site) and The Fighting Cocks for Sunday Lunch down on the main road. Also the Fish & Chips van comes twice a week. The site is large with lovely grass areas that are surrounded by trees and shrubs and very protected from the wind. The hardstanding area is more open and can get windy but when you have a motorhome and car trailer hardstanding is so welcome these were large enough to accommodate trailer, motorhome and car with still space on the hardstanding for our chairs and table. The loo block is immaculate in fact the whole site is, the wardens work extremely hard to keep it that way and it shows. It has to be the best site with the friendliest wardens in our Club.
