Lovely Site!

Spent a week at this site just recently, lovely pitch, clean site and excellent TB facilities. Lovely pub just up the road, no dog field but a wood very close by so it wasn't a problem. Good location for so many places...... shame there was some Rave going on over that weekend, could hear it in the distance.

Pretty woodland site. Lots to see nearby.

Our first visit here - for 2 nights on the way back from Cornwall. Very pretty - lots of trees. The pitches seem very private because of this. Facilities of a high standard. 2 toilet blocks and a small play area which was fine for the fairly small number of children to hang out. Be sure to visit the Donkey Sanctuary and the caves at Beer (wrap up warm and wear sensible shoes). However, it is near an airport (which isn't a problem) but also near a military airport so be prepared for helicopters and heavy aircraft.

A Great site

Very beautiful location. Wardens extremely helpful. The cleanliness of the site is first class. Well worth a visit, and a lovely pub just up the road.

First time visit

We stayed first week of August for 5 days, lovely site, clean & tidy, helpful wardens. Ideal for visiting Exeter and surrounding areas, Sidmouth a lovely seaside town, well worth a visit. Great walks along the coastal path, will definitely return :-)

Another first time visitor

To cut to the chase, this is a very good site. Clean and tidy as is expected on good club sites these days. The wardens were great from the moment we arrived. We thought we had a problem with our motor mover, and straight away they offered to help with the tractor if needed (thankfully it wasn't). Then we realised we had forgotten our watering can for the toilet top-up (too used to the serviced pitches when I use the hose), again they offered us the loan of one. The site is on a reasonably steep incline rising up from the entrance. Each section is kind of on a different level as you move up the site. We had a hard standing which was narrower than normal, but quite deep so the car was parked at the front rather than to the side. It was pretty level despite the slope of the site. Some of the grass pitches looked to be quite sloped, certainly up near the top end where we were. A couple of vans looked precarious on a number of wooden blocks stacked up, but I guess they were OK. We were on the South side of the site, and we only got direct sun first thing for a couple of hours because of the tall trees. The rest of the time we were in shade, so in the evening it was quite cool in the awning. The planes from Exeter have been mentioned before and you will notice them, but for us city folk it was nothing to worry about. In fact we saw some interesting military aircraft and even the Red Arrows flew over. You'll need to drive to reach any proper shops for food, but there is a Sainsbury's and an Aldi both within a 10min drive. It was generally a quiet site, but there was some noise from the road than runs along side at certain times, and if you get someone with a dog that just won't stop barking.....

Stop over

We stopped over here on the way to Cornwall and from where we start this make it ideal. The site is well run and clean but quiet and so didn't appeal to my children (9 and 10) but the roads in and entrance access is very easy so will probably stop over here again.

First Visit

First visit to Putts Corner; we brought our two teenage grand daughters and all of us had a great time. Facilities very clean & tidy, ideal situated for Sidmouth & surrounding area, lucky with the weather and enjoyed a couple of evening meals at the Hare & Hound; agree with a previous comment reference 'can get busy so worth booking.' Will visit again

A Happy Return

We have been using this site for many years now and each time it seems to get better, excellent toilet facilities, fairly quiet, and always clean. Wardens always happy and helpful. What more could you want? Oh, a pub? yes within walking distance with good food, seaside? yes just a short drive/bus ride away, country life or a dog walk? yes it's on the door step. Wi-Fi a bit iffy but....... come on, your suppose to be on holiday!!!!!

Review for Putt Corner

Just returned from Putts Corner, great little site, as normal with CCS very clean & tidy, ideal situated for Sidmouth & surrounding area, weather was great which always helps. Hare & Hound nice pub easy to walk too, food & drink great, can get busy though so worth booking, accept dogs which was a bonus for us, outside seating good too. Close to supermarkets etc, Sidmouth recently had a Waitrose open so another bonus. All in all great site & great area's to visit
