"Retired professionals" how spiffing 

I dropped 'professional' when I retired. Status now is simply 'retired'  

I’m happy to report from my very recent experience that the wardens on this site are as helpful and friendly as ever. I did, however, pull forward to the white line on arrival when the van in front moved. 🙂

To most people the size or cost of your set up is of no consequence, the same applies to what you do or did for a living. What matters to people is humility, understanding, compassion and not judging people on material things. Also being a Professional doesn't automatically give you common sense, as the saying goes...." I know so many people educated far beyond their intelligence" 

Just to add (because you have been implying envy) my husband is a 70 yr old professional who is still working simply because he loves what he does. We have just sold our large fairly new expensive caravan for a much smaller one because that suits us better so never judge a book by its cover,

I think you must have missed the turning for this site and ended up somewhere else!!!

We stayed in there in April and what a great site it was ,friendly staff,great amenities and fish & chips from the van when we got back in the evening after a walk to St Benets Abbey along the river.
