Good for families

Beautiful Place, fantastic location and lovely site, spoilt by noisy neighbours

Went here for 4 day break last week in July, fantastic location, close to the beach, some fantastic areas for bike roads, lots of back roads to avoid the traffic. The village of Horning has an amazing Marina where the Southern Comfort paddle steamer is located, £9 per adult, dogs go free, 90 minute tour of some of the broads, bar on board for a nice pint or G & T as you gently paddle along. The weather was fantastic and the site very pleasant, the only thing that spoilt the last afternoon and evening was 2 families in caravans who thought it was OK for their kids plus others from the site to scream, shout, ride their bikes right next to my motorhome on my pitch, throwing buckets of water (including the dad), went on all day, at 20.45 we very politely asked if they would mind calming down only to be met by a torrent of abuse, threatening and aggressive behaviour and basically "mind your own business, cos we is on holiday and our kids can play and scream all day and all night", in the end they finally began to calm down but make it clear that on the Sunday they would be raising a racket, i didn't care because it was our last evening. The lady opposite left that day having had enough, even though they had paid for 7 days, the noise and general behaviour was too much, the very nice people on the opposite side of our pitch said they would see how it went but planned to complain to the warden. Interestingly the family on the pitch previous to the 2 other families had also been warned by the warden before we arrived as their children were throwing pitching hammers at each other next to other motorhome's. Unfortunately i have come across this attitude too many times now, some parents believe little johnny and daisy are perfectly entitled to behave as they like, they do not believe it is their responsibility to ensure their children are raised to be considerate to others. To the Club I would ask that all families are made aware that everyone has the right to expect consideration from other members on site, OK thats it rant over.
