Fantastic location and facilities for families

We love this site and have just come home from yet another great stay there this summer. Great pitches and well maintained facilities to usual CAMC standard including fantastic fenced off play park which the kids love. Great attractions close by accessible by walking or car including the broads. 20 mins by car to a great beach at Winterton. What more could you ask for?! Fish and chip van visited site twice in the week we were there in late August and also regular visits from an ice cream van. We'll definitely be back!

A lovely break

We have returned to caravanning after over a 20 year break this summer. All the sites we have stayed on have been very good but this one was by far the best! Not a huge site but beautifully kept and very flat (mostly hardstanding) pitches. The wardens were friendly and the facilities spotless. We stayed for 4 nights but hope to book again for next year when we will stay longer. There is a very good pub a few minutes walk away, The Dog Inn, dogs very welcome, the food we had was excellent. Also a lovely tea room in the other direction, also only a few minutes walk, dogs also very welcome, we recommend the bacon sandwiches!

Good short stop for motorhomes

A well laid out site, with excellent and clean facilities. Staff are welcoming, professional and helpful. A mixture of grass, hard standing and serviced pitches, quiet corners can be found. If you are only walking, there is possibly only enough for two/ three days, unless of course you remain on site relaxing! For the car owner or biker, the whole of the Norfolk Broads and the coast is open to you. A walk to St. Benets Abbey is a must, How Hill is also close by. Village shop, restaurant and pub a short stroll from the site. Being a club site, fees are more than an equivalent CL, yet to be convinced of its worth. Two night mid week stay taken in August, with two dogs, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely site

Lovely site, just spent 9 days there for the second time. Nice big pitches and plenty of space around them too. The kids really enjoyed it, as there were lots of others around for them to play with, and the play area is great too. Lots to do in the area, with lots of good pubs, and things to do and see. Easy walks to How Hill and Ludham too. Wardens as ever were great, even staying open a bit late on a day of arrival, as we were running late due to lots of traffic. Thoroughly recommended.

Great site and great setting

We have been to the Broads before but not in this site. The site did not disappoint. It is set in an area which makes the Broads very accessible by car, foot, boat - and especially important to us - bike. The pitch was wide and the site was always full but never felt crowded or under pressure. As usual the wardens were efficient and friendly. The site had all ages on it which gave it a family feel. If you haven't been to the Broads since being a child - give it a go!

A great long weekend

We stayed here in July just before the schools broke up for summer holidays. The site is very well run and the wardens are very helpful and friendly. We tend to use out own facilities so can't comment on the shower blocks but everything else was clean and well kept. The dog walking area is small but serves it's purpose. TV reception is good if that's important to you. There is a pub just across the way and whilst we didn't go there it looked nice from the outside, and there was live music on the Thursday evening we arrived. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely site

This is a well maintained site, clean, tidy and beautifully kept flower beds and baskets. The wardens were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. One small criticism, which is out of the wardens hands, is children on the play areas after dark and no sign of parental supervision from a safety point of view. A situation I have come across on many sites and would like to see parents/ carers take responsibility for.

Enjoyable 10 days at Norfolk Broad site.

This is the second time we have stayed here and once again had 10 days getting to know the area again. We met some friendly couples, which makes the stay all the more enjoyable. The facilities are the usual caravan club standard, being kept scrupulously clean by the hard working wardens. The weather was extremely kind to us this year, hitting the heatwave just at the right time. Would stay here again.

Broad Horizons

We've been to this site a number of times and have always enjoyed our stay. This site is easy to find and approached on good roads. On arriving this time we could see a number of improvements to the maintenance of the site, not that it was bad before, but the site seemed much more open whilst pitch privacy was maintained. Grass and hedges were well trimmed and flowers at reception really set the site off. We had a lovely reception from the warden and I have to say that all of the wardens were friendly and helpful and made time for a quick chat and engaged the children in conversation too. The toilet, showers, washing up and laundry facilities were kept clean, as was the site. This is a good location for exploring the Broads and visiting the beaches all within half an hour. The only disappointing thing was the runny dog mess that was left on the gravel along the front of our pitch, in 30 degree heat which I had to clear up before I could site the BBQ for cooking, come on dog owners! I love this site and will definitely return. Thank you to the wardens for all your hard work which made our stay so nice.
