Our first visit to a club site, and this lovely site was a perfect start. We stayed from 7-9 May 2019 The welcome from the wardens was lovely, and the pitches were great. Facilities were superbly maintained (they were painting and repairing pitches throughout) and very clean.
It rained very hard, but the peaceful location and outlook made it totally relaxing. Will come back without any doubt!
Great site within the Broads network
My wife and I stayed at this site from the 7th to the 18th April 2019.
We had previously visited this site in 2008.
The site is well maintained by the site Wardens, we found them friendly and very helpful.
We stayed on one of the Super Pitches which meant we had mains water direct to the caravan and a drain for the waste water, a bonus when caravanning early in the season, we did have some cold weather during our stay with highs ranging from 19c on our first and last day to just 8c in between!
The site is within easy reach of all the main Broads locations and there are some great local walks.
Good location, excellent staff.
Stayed here for 5 nights (24th-29th March) and received a very warm welcome from the staff. The site is very well maintained and the wardens work hard to keep everything in pristine order. The facilities are of the usual excellent standard. We particularly liked the fact that the toilet block remains open until 11:00am before closing for an hour, for cleaning. Some club sites close the facilities at 10:00 or 10:30am which we feel is too early for members wanting a more leisurely morning routine.
Very quiet location set amongst the Northern Broads and many places of interest. Easy drive to the Park & Ride facility for Norwich and short drive to the coast. We found our trip to Horsey Gap to see the Grey Seal colony, very worthwhile.
Highly recommend this as a first class facility in an interesting location.
Great site visited March 2019
Had a very relaxing few days once again at this site, our 3rd visit. Wardens work very hard to keep up the high standards. Lots of local places to visit and god places to eat. Will definitely visit again.
Very helpful staff
Lovely stay 17 - 21 March 2019. Beautifully clean and well maintained.
Very friendly, helpful staff that go above and beyond to help.
I can't recommend this site highly enough.
Great Stay
We visited the Norfolk Broads site in September. The weather was lovely and we really enjoyed the area and the site. Our son and partner visited for a few days and we enjoyed some pubs and meals out, with them. We all had a fun, if slow, day when we hired a Day Boat from Wroxham - it was nice to see the area from a different perspective and it was fun trying to ‘park’ the boat at lunchtime!!! Horsey Windpump was interesting, although we were unable to see much as it was undergoing renovation but it will be great when completed.
We tried the visiting the Fish and Chip van, not recommended I’m afraid, also very rude! They omitted to give us one portion of fish so OH went back to ask for it. He was told in no uncertain terms that we WERE given all the order, but on saying no, sorry, we were missing one fish he was given a refund for that and told ‘do not to return’!! Charming!
We loved the area and look forward to another visit to this lovely site.
Another excellent stay
Having visited this site several times now we have had another excellent stay. Even though it was mid October and the site is due to close soon the hanging baskets and flower tube were still beautiful and colourful as well as the grass being nicely cut and trimmed. Staff as always were happy and chatty . This is an excellent peaceful site for discovering the Broads,
Another Great Weekend
This site is one of the best we have stayed on the guys and gals who look after this site are brill so down to earth and friendly they give 110% in making your stay so special the flower displays are plentiful and vibrant must have worked hard in the summer keeping them watered.Every where is kept neat and tidy.A big thank yo
There are so many places within a short distance to visit by car if you wish but we prefer to explore the local countryside by walking and cycling so many different walks they have maps for a small charge in the reception. you get to see some interesting people and places that are not accessible by car. How Hill is well worth a visit a large house stands on top of the hill with fantastic views of the Broads. Met some great people on the site i find it refreshing that its a chance to slow down say good morning to people who do not have their head in a phone, have a chat share experiences and assist people who are not familiar with the area .

Excellent
Well, what do you want from a club site? This one has it all. We love the Norfolk Broads and this site is the nearest to all the rivers, that is the main reason why we use this site. Just back from a 7 day holiday here, for the third time. We used to hire a boat every year but age is now creeping up we have to slow down somewhat.
Reception was warm and friendly, as always. The wardens welcome second to none. Site very clean and well kept. Facilities block kept clean and the flower displays excellent. We were out every day but one and that was because it was raining. The 'attractions' are The Broads themselves but it is only a short drive to the coast. Good pubs abound, if you like that sort of thing, most serve food and most are dog friendly. Would we stay here again? You bet.
Can recommend The Golden City chinese takeaway in Horning, Excellent food. The visiting fish and chip van, however, leaves something to be desired.
We will be back.
