We didn’t get off to a good start when upon arrival we were greeted by a very grumpy male warden who was a complete jobsworth.
I would love to know how you are supposed to get out of your car to check in&also keep your car moving forward at the same time?? Three times i was asked very grumpily to move forward (it’s not what you say but how you say it) on each occasion it was just as i had got out of the car to check in!!
The site itself is clean and well maintained (including showers/toilets) but we have stayed on better non caravan club sites, it lacked a friendly atmosphere (had none) and even though we have a great outfit everyone was unfriendly and snooty.
I dread to think how someone would be made to feel if they rocked up in a dated car and caravan.......all in all a very disappointing stay and we would not stay again as that’s not why we joined the club to receive that sort of welcome.
Outstanding!!
This was our first visit to the site and the Broads but won't be our last, we are already picking dates for next year.
I must say the site is the best kept site that we have stayed on, the grounds are spotless.
Beautiful flowers and hanging baskets around the entrance of the site, it is clear that the wardens are well on top of their job and work very hard to maintain the standard.
The location for us was perfect, turn left out of the site over Ludham bridge and you are soon in Horning with lovely riverside pubs (Swan Inn and New Inn) and slightly further up the road you have Wroxham, it's a slightly large village with lots to do from boat hire/ rides, cafes, pubs and shops. Ludham bridge is only a few minutes walk from the sight and we found ourselves on an evening watching the boats moor up with the odd collision with the bridge all very interesting and entertaining to watch. There is a cafe and shop at Ludham bridge with very friendly staff who can give advice on the area.
Keep up the good work Wardens and see you next year.
Best Kept Site
This was our first stay at this site and it was the best kept site we have been on. The attention to detail was excellent with the wardens trimming, sweeping and mowing in between pitch change overs. The bins were always emptied regularly and the wardens always waved to our daughter on their way past.
The wardens were very friendly and our 6 year old loved chatting to them in the shop when she went to buy a lucky dip toy from the basket. The lady always engaged with her well and asked about her days out.
My daughter enjoyed riding her bike around the site and made a couple of little friends.
This was a very good base for days out and we enjoyed it so much that we have booked again for next year.

One of the best
We have been to 22 sites so far this year both home and abroad and this site is at the top of the list for facilities, layout, pitches and ambience. The friendly staff obviously work hard to keep the site in excellent order.

Not exactly child friendly
Very grumpy staff member told me and my 6 year old off for playing a gentle ball game next to our van. Plenty of other ball games going on around us, no complaints from anyone else. My son ended up in tears as he was not allowed to play cricket near our van only on the play area (next to the main road with signs saying no ball games).
The road is very noisy as are the aircraft as you are under the flight path for Norwich International Airport.
Very disappointed and will go elsewhere next time.
Our second visit
This was our second visit to this site and definitely won't be our last. Spotless facilities, friendly and helpful wardens and a beautifully kept site. Dog friendly pub and a dog friendly café only a few minutes walk away. Also a general store next to café which is well stocked. Close to Wroxham and other lovely locations. Fish and chip van Friday/Tuesday, not quite as good as fish and chip shop but good, very convenient hot food. When we come to the Norfolk Broads again we won't think of staying anywhere else 😁
Great site with friendly staff
This was our third visit to this beautiful site. The wardens were friendly and welcoming and the facilities were well maintained and in excellent condition. It is a great base to see the Broads. We will come again.
AN EXCELLENT SITE
An excellent site as you would expect from the Club. The wardens were friendly and always available but never intrusive. A word of warning about the mobile fish & chip van that goes onto the site. This should be a real treat whilst on holiday however the food was absolutely dire. The chips were no more than white, limp, soggy french fries and the thin line of white fish was encased in oil-soaked, hard unpleasant batter. A complete waste of money, the food was barely edible! The man in the van also found it acceptable to speak to a young member of staff (also in the van) in a most objectionable manner in front of customers waiting for their food to be cooked.
However, none of this is the site's fault and it was the only 'negative' about our holiday. The site may wish to find an alternative supplier for this type of food to avoid getting itself a bad name through association!.
Also be aware that the Dog Inn (although advertising itself as being 'Open all day' 'Cooked Food') does not in fact serve food all day. Whilst on holiday you want a flexible approach to eating not for it to be limited to short lunch times and evening meals. There is quite a limited menu and what you get is not great.
Beautiful, well looked after site
This was our first visit to this beautiful site. The wardens were friendly and welcoming and the facilities were well maintained and in excellent condition. The site is within walking distance of Ludham Brdge and the Dog pub. Potter Heigham and Wroxham are a short drive away. We hired a picnic boat for the day from Herbert Woods at Potter Heigham and although it was expensive at £240 the boat was almost new with toilet, kitchen and cooking facilities. We had a great time.
My perfect holiday
Myself and my wife have just returned after spending a glorious two weeks on this site. I was asked by another member what I was going to do for two weeks. If you cant find things to keep you busy for two weeks then maybe this site isn't for you. The site is central to the broads and is kept in immaculate condition by the wardens. There is so much to do here that two weeks isn't really enough time. If you want a nice relaxing holiday then you must try this site
