Tranquility
After a hectic family wedding the two of us needed some peaceful downtime. We came here and got exactly what we needed!! The site is quiet and relaxing. The facilities are excellent and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The wardens were extremely helpful and informative.
The challenge for the site is that if it were up to capacity it would not provide these advantages. (2 showers and 3 loos for 47 pitches, (Gents), would not deliver the quality of service commensurate with user expectations of Caravan Club sites, and the proximity of pitches would almost certainly threaten the peace and tranquillity). During our stay the site was at its maximum running at 40% capacity. There will be a view that this is a shame. However, from a user perspective, having neighbours either side some 2 or 3 pitches away is thoroughly in keeping with the ambience we were looking for!! Given these tensions around demand and supply perhaps it might be appropriate to consider downsizing the number of pitches to a more manageable 25/30? It's a conundrum.
