Tranquility

After a hectic family wedding the two of us needed some peaceful downtime. We came here and got exactly what we needed!! The site is quiet and relaxing. The facilities are excellent and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The wardens were extremely helpful and informative. The challenge for the site is that if it were up to capacity it would not provide these advantages. (2 showers and 3 loos for 47 pitches, (Gents), would not deliver the quality of service commensurate with user expectations of Caravan Club sites, and the proximity of pitches would almost certainly threaten the peace and tranquillity). During our stay the site was at its maximum running at 40% capacity. There will be a view that this is a shame. However, from a user perspective, having neighbours either side some 2 or 3 pitches away is thoroughly in keeping with the ambience we were looking for!! Given these tensions around demand and supply perhaps it might be appropriate to consider downsizing the number of pitches to a more manageable 25/30? It's a conundrum.

First Time Ever

This was our very first time in our caravan and the wardens could not be more helpful. The site is next to some apple orchards so good for walking and running through. The are is also really pretty. No wifi or phone signal so fabulous if you have stressful jobs for simply relaxing. Nice dog walk on site and lovely walking off site. Lovely clean facilities too.

No wifi or public telephone

An excellent site in many ways and very well cared for by the wardens, but no wifi or public telephone is not very good, and not being able to stay in contact with our disabled daughter without making a 20 mile round trip was very frustrating!

Peace & quiet

We would firstly like to thank the two wonderful wardens who run such a peaceful site and were only to happy to suggest things to do and places to eat. We stayed just after Easter and the site was only about half full. We enjoyed visiting the local picturesque villages that are close by and loved admiring the spectacular starry skies at night. It was also great to have no phone reception!

Easter Visit

We spent a lovely Easter break at Moorhampton. The wardens were extremely friendly and the site well kept. We think that the site could benefit from TV aeriel points as the reception is very poor, as was telephone reception. The site is located close to several very pretty villages and there are other places of interest within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Walking from the site seemed fairly limited but there was a bus service within walking distance. We did think that the toilet block could do with more showers though.

First break of the season

Lovely quiet site for a short break. Wardens very friendly and helpful.  Good walking area well marked public right of way through Bulmers Orchard. Within easy reach of Hereford either by car or bus. Would certainly consider a further visit.

grill break

Just got back from Easter at moorhampton what a little gem. We booked late but had a great time can't praise the wardens enough. Got there good Fri to no hard standings but tried a grass pitch and sunk so told the wardens, but then the wardens very kindly put us on the relief wardens pitch and had a fantastic weekend away. Thank you to the wardens

this is a pretty little site with very helpful wardens, it is well kept, the only possible downside is that if you park at the end its a little treck to the toilets. Great site if you want to be wi fi free (yes). For great food at good prices try the ferney Inns it is in the places to eat book on the site . Please note the outfit size restriction 7 metres. We will return.
