Perfect short winter sightseeing break

Great 4 night stay at Henley Four Oaks, which we picked because of its easy proximity to Windsor and London. We had great days out to see Windsor Castle (using the car) and some London sights (on the train from Maidenhead). A friendly welcome, super clean and warm facilities, and easy access to Henley with some lovely river walks and shops. The site was pretty full most of the time, but peaceful and quiet, and the resident red kites were a lovely addition. The staff were both extremely kind to our boys (6 and 8) who absolutely loved the little responsibility of walking across the the reception shop to buy things, and enjoyed the fact that they were treated like grown-ups and chatted to. It was one of their highlights, and lovely to have staff compliment us on their manners and behaviour at the end of our trip. Thank you

Short stay for first use of our Swift Escape 694

Lovely site for our ‘shakedown trip for our new Swift Escape 694. Welcoming site manager, spotless on site facilities and convenient for local bus services. Henley provides a number of options for eating out at reasonable cost. Local bird life is great for enthusiasts - great pictures of Red Kites which are numerous. Thoroughly recommended.

Another great stay at Henley club site

Yet again a great trip to what we are finding to be the best club site by far. Clean and tidy pitches as always, freindly greating on arival just a shame we only stayed one night this trip and unfortunatly spent our first night at Morton in Marsh which was the other end of the scale and awfull Well done to the guys at Henley you have turned it into a great site.

Another great trip to Henley Four Oaks!

We have been to this site about 5 times now - it's the perfect location to meet up with our fellow caravanners who live in Wales - we're in Kent so it's pretty much half way and very easy to get to for us both. The wardens here are great, so very helpful (thank you!), the facilities are spot on and we absolutely love how easy it is to get into town which is always lovely to walk around and of course it has plenty of places to eat and drink. We particularly enjoy The Three Horseshoes pub (walk through the town parallel to the river for about 10 mins and it's in the fork of the two roads) The Row barge pub (just up from the main crossroads near the town hall) and the Bull on Bell Street. We have got used to the road noise which in the end we think you forget about as this is far outweighed by how easy it is to get everywhere and to be honest if you end up at the back of the site you don't really hear it at all. Wil definitely be back and thanks again wardens for all your help!

Unbearable road noise

I have to leave a review to warn others. The positive- distance to Henley. Negatives- Very small pitches. Given minisule toggle to operate barrier but no instructions that the touch point was on the outside on the opposite side of approach that you would expect. Very small area for dogs, we couldn't walk the dogs off site due to the lack of pavement on a very busy road. I have never stayed on a site that has such a noisy busy road, it fekt non stop, possibly 3 hours overnight was quiet. It really was not relaxing in any way shape or form as you could hear it in the caravan with all doors and windows closed. Couldn't wait to leave. We saw the wardens on check in and once when the female went out to tell someone off for going on the grass with their van. I really think there should be more honest description re road noise.

Holiday

First time at this site and it was lovely. Facilities spotless. Dog walk not big but enough for first thing in the morning and last thing at night. We were lucky to see red kites flying around fantastic to see. Walked into Henley along main road took about 15 mins. Lovely walk along the river which the dog enjoyed. You can go one way to see a waterfall which was lovely. The chocolate cafe by the river was nice. Good food and sausage for the dog. Sit well lit at night. We will be back

Henley is Pleasant

This is the third time I've been to Henley and the location is perfect to visit the surrounding area. Easily accessible directly off a main road, the facilities are always very clean and the managers helpful. There is a good bus service which can take you to Oxford and Reading. There is a footpath from the site into town which in places is extremely muddy especially at this time of year Regrettably if you have 'Three' the service is non existent but fortunately I have a backup from Vodaphone which was ok. I do quite like this site but the pitches and paths are beginning to look a little tired, possibly the cost of it being open all year

Last hoorah of the season

First visit to this lovely site which is perfectly located to explore the surrounding area. Showers and toilets were spotless each time we used them. Roadways quite narrow but manageable even for a novice such as myself. Pitched near the road but the noise didn't really bother us as we were out during the day and by the time we got back it had quietened down. All in all a really nice stay and would recommend it during the quieter times as I have not seen it when busy in summer etc.
