Perfect Peace....
I honestly don't know why we had never thought to visit this site before.
From arriving and throughout, the site managers (sorry, forgotten their names!) couldn't have been more helpful, with advice and guidance on places to go and best routes, and their recommendation for the local butcher saw us with half a freezer full of sausages!
The site itself was immaculate but not too show homey, ie natural and relaxing. All pitches were a really good size and no matter where you were, your outlook was the woods.
You can walk or ride through the woods direct from the site and we loved the 'Hansel & Gretel' idea of a touch of white paint on certain trees that leads to the local pub, the Two Sawyers, really good food and atmosphere there.
I would say the only thing to be aware of, which is nothing to do with the site itself, is that there are some massive hills around if cycling, that Google state as 'moderate' but not too sure in whose language that is! Also, in future I would avoid arriving or leaving on a Sunday as the lane is quite narrow and the woodlands are very popular with people arriving in cars so was a bit hairy trying to make a dash for it when leaving!
Would definitely visit here again.
